    Conti DWS06+ vs. Michelin PSAS4

Obviously the most ideal way to go IF you have the money to invest in another set of wheels/tires or the space to store them. I used to always do this on the BMW I had. OE wheels wrapped in performance summer rubber, winters on steelies. Storage was the issue and had to end up moving whichever...

Caught by surprise- BOA savings account interest rates

Just caught that you are $500 additional, not a total payment of $500 ($212 min., $288 balance). In that case, definately make the $500 additional principal only. Arrange to pay the $500 15 days out of sync with regular payment so both payments don't get lumped together and pay interest.

    Walk behind mower blades

Well, it kinda does. However, Troy Built 490XP (with the Honda engine) has 4 different blades to choose from. Usually, the blade from the manufacturer (or their supplier) will be the best performing, and in this case, I would suggest getting the dedicated mulching blade if you primarily mulch...

Caught by surprise- BOA savings account interest rates

Then do that. See if you can make the additional $288 over minimum as a principal only payment. Granted at 1.99% it won't net much, but no interest is no interest.

Caught by surprise- BOA savings account interest rates

Totally agree. You are in essence paying 1.99% to use someone else's money, however, you can earn twice that if thrown into a 4% (doable) interest savings account and pay the minimum each month. If you need to sell, you have assets to cover the solar if no buyer wants to assume. Or, hopefully...

Caught by surprise- BOA savings account interest rates

Fair enough. In situations like that understood that you do need to make those kind of concessions due to market pressures, no matter how bad of a taste it leaves in your mouth. Which way does your gut have you leaning? Paying off the loan or establishing an account to draw from and make some...

Caught by surprise- BOA savings account interest rates

I know it's a little late, but I would have NEVER assumed a secondary loan on a house deal, especially a temporary one (equity over time sucks right now too unless cash sale) and much less for something like solar. What is that paying for electricity each month? You get anything for putting...

    Choosing correct viscosity for BMW M5 w/ S63TU 4.4L V8

I was going for whether or not your engine runs high oil temps overall vs. temp difference between oils. If it does run hot temps with your driving style, higher HTHS will be your friend. Low Noack is beneficial for high temps, but with 2K per year (which is when I would OCI), and no top up, it...

    Tools with engravings?

If they work, who cares whats engraved on them or not? Thats where I fall, especially if I can get good ones at a decent price buying used. Who knows, maybe someday I'll get mine engraved with "Mom" and a heart 😁.

The GLI will need new shoes around fall-time. I'm choosing neither the Contis or Michelins this time around and going with some P-Zeros.

    Choosing correct viscosity for BMW M5 w/ S63TU 4.4L V8

Good on ya for coming out of the shadows. Now the fun begins. Couple things I would look for in your application. Primarily, HTHS, secondary, SAPS, tertiary, viscosity (within range). Not familiar with offerings across the pond, but the Ravenol you are using is pretty good from what I hear. Do...

    Burgers: grill vs griddle

Depends. I usually do hand-formed burgers and throw them on the Weber (charcoal of course). Let the drippings flare a bit and give them some char. Pre-formed, store bought patties (oh the blasphemy!) like for parties and such, go on the griddle as I can cook 18 at a shot. I've recently done a...
