    Maxxis Bravo AT771 any good?

If you are looking for an affordable SUV tire, the General Grabber HTS60 is a phenomenal tire. Continental owns General so I'm sure the tread compound is similar to the Continental. I'm always impressed at how good the traction is on a 2WD GM pickup.

Use Vehicle Shopping: <$7K sedan/wagon that is reliable + easy to fix

Are you in an area with lots of road salt/rust? If so, I would be cautious because several of those models are known to rust out. The Mazda 3 and Ford Escape come to mind if they are old enough models. I had a first generation 2014 Cruze LT 1.4 turbo for 5 years and 50k miles, it was a pretty...

Getting new tires for my 2016 Buick LaCrosse

I have Continental PureContact LS on my 2019 Regal TourX. It's the same 235/50R18 size. They are a perfect Buick tire. They are quiet, ride well, last a long time, and have good traction. Knowing how crappy the Eagle LS2s were, it will be a night and day difference if you get the PureContacts.

    1988 Dodge B250 Tire rating

I would say to add some PSI to the tire to see if that helps. I have to be honest, I'm incredibly picky with tires. If you aren't happy with them now, I would say to get something else because it's likely not going to improve. Especially if Discount Tire is willing to swap them out. What tires...

    BG EPR 109 observations

That stuff is amazing. I used it in a family members 1998 Lumina that was a spare car which got driven maybe 500 miles a year. It had developed a pretty loud top end noise because we never changed the oil for about 5 years. I ran a can of EPR, changed the oil and the noise was totally gone and...

Goodyear Assurance vs Conti Purecontacts ?

I have PureContact LS on my TourX and I also had them on my Cruze before I traded it. They are probably the quietest tires available. They seem to do everything well. A friend of mine also has them and they love them. They seem to wear like iron too. Way better then the original PureContacts...

Who makes a fluid for 8 speed Ram 1500?

I have not tried this myself, but I was looking at ordering the "kit" from FCP euro for our 2014 V6 Grand Cherokee. It's meant for a BMW but the fluid and filter should be the same from my brief research.

    New snow tires!

I love my VikingContacts on my Regal TourX. I can't get over how quiet and smooth they are. Most other people drive on these other brands of winter tire I hear roaring down the road. I had the WinterContactSI and I was also impressed with those on a previous car.

Difference between Conti PureContact LS & ContiProContact?

I have the PureContact LS on my 19 Regal. Same 235/50r18 size. They are great tires with very little noise, great traction all around, very good response/handling, and good wear. They are probably the best tires I've ever owned. The stock tires were Conti ProContact and they were complete crap...

Nitto Winter SN3 vs Sumitomo Ice Edge

I have the Conti VikingContact on my Regal and they are SUPERB. They are just like driving on all season tires normally, but still are amazing in the snow and ice. Plus they wore like iron. They are much quieter than the General Altimax Artics I have on a family members car. The VikingContacts...

    Kelly Edge A/S

I've never seen good things about them. The shop I used to work at sold some sets when the first came out due to the low price. If you get your hands on one of the tires, you will find the casing is VERY flimsy on the Kellys. We also had quite a few sets only last about 15k for some drivers. We...

Recent experience with a Michelin Defender

We have a set on a 2014 Grand Cherokee. They are the best tires we have had by far. We have also had the OE Michelin Latitude, Firestone Destination LE2 and Cooper Discoverer AT3. They have outlasted any of the other tires. The wet and snow traction is also significantly better than any of the...

Our van feels "Darty" or twitchy" on the highway

I think you answered your own question. The van drove fine until you fixed the broken spring. I'd be willing to bet that the FCS struts are the problem. Most of those quick struts are junk compared to the factory parts. They are built to a budget with springs with different rates and dampers...

    Printers

Agreed with the Brother laser. HP and Epson hardware is junk. They sell the printer at a lower price and gouge in ink costs.

2019 Regal TourX GKN Twinster fluid change.

Thanks for getting me this info. I ended up changing mine this morning. I used Redline 75w85 hypenoid fluid. I already had some from my Toyota. I actually noticed that the driveline seemed smoother from changing the fluid.

2019 Regal TourX GKN Twinster fluid change.

How is the fluid holding up for you? I'm having a heck of a time figuring out what all this differential actually requires. My TourX just turned 17k miles and your post confirms my feeling that the rear differential fluid needs to be changed now. I was shocked to learn this car has the same...

Possibly the worst OEM tires I've ever owned

I've had experience with 5 different Goodyear tires. Eagle LS2, RSA, Comfortred Tourings, Silent Armor, and the Wrangler Radial. The Eagle LS2, RSA and Wrangler Radials were HORRIBLE tires. All of them had horrible wet traction, especially the Wrangler Radials. None of them were predictable and...
