Problem Importing MS Access Database into MS Excel 365

My first two (wild) guesses are: 1) Some form of Office stepping on its you-know-what because of a conflict in the infinitum of registry entries and shared libraries because at some point Office was upgraded or updated. 2) A licensing issue between the varying capabilities of differing...

    ChatGPT?

I am resurrecting a nearly month-old thread, I know; but I saw this and figured it would be a worthwhile contribution to it. I hope our imminent AI overlords are capable of humour.

    A kinder gentler drug cartel?

Similarly, a hacking group offered to make good on an errant attack on a sick kids hospital here recently: https://globalnews.ca/news/9382632/ransomware-group-sickkids-attack/

New type of spam showing up?

Even **viewing** a spam email might (*might*) also validate your email if the spam email is sophisticated enough: If the email, at view-time, is set to download a resource (most likely an image) the request can contain uniquely-identifying information for you. So viewing the email will call an...

How many people are using really old PCs on a daily?

If you believe that running these tools are the antidote to an unsupported OS, then I am afraid your general understanding is too far removed from "functional" to have a rational conversation. I don't mean any disrespect in that. Not everyone should take the time and effort to develop an...

How many people are using really old PCs on a daily?

It gets terribly frustrating trying to tell someone to stop using an unsupported OS when they cannot understand why. And the world keeps being fraught with DDOS attacks, phishing, etc. through these vulnerable systems. And the owners of these systems could not seem to care less. At some point...

My Conversation with Microsofts new A.I. Chat Bot that I was approved for last night

I had a lot of fun the other night asking ChatGPT to write 3 paragraph book reviews (Moby ****, after watching "The Whale"; Finnegan's Wake, etc.) in the style of an angsty teenager.

    Anyone use Tiny11?

Cool idea; even better that you can (re-)add components into the system as you see fit.

How many people are using really old PCs on a daily?

"Infected" usually means a malicious party is using your computer to spam, scam or DDOS **someone else**.

How many people are using really old PCs on a daily?

My home/home office has an old 4-core i5 machine, 2 iMacs; one from 2010 and the other from 2011, a 2010 Dell laptop and a 2012 Lenovo ThinkPad W series. All run Ubuntu flawlessly.

    Unwanted ad when printing

I wonder, too, if your Print dialogue window has an option to "print background graphics" or something similar that could be unchecked.

What VPN to buy that will make me look like I am in USA or Canada?

I don't think OP wants or needs to go that far. But I, too, use a VPN of sorts on a Google Cloud free tier VM, running a Tailscale exit node on it. No plugins needed; just fire up the Tailscale app on a mobile device and choose to use the exit node and Bob's yer uncle!

    ChatGPT?

Colin Meloy of The Decembrists asked ChatGPT to write a song, complete with chord progressions, in the style of Colin Meloy. He then recorded it. https://colinmeloy.substack.com/p/i-had-chatgpt-write-a-decemberists

    ChatGPT?

Amidst all of the fun I have had asking this thing to "write a 3 stanza poem, each stanza having 12 lines and adhering to an A-B rhyming scheme, about a 6' tall girl named Bertha from Athens, Ga. and who owns a parakeet named Bud whose breath stinks" I have begun about a million interactions...

    ChatGPT?

I've been interacting with this thing since shortly after it became public. It is astounding; both creepy and amazing in its current capabilities and its inevitable implications for the future.
