How to remove a stuck recessed aerator in a Delta faucet.

Warranty, sure, if you bought it instead of it coming with the house. I assume the warranty is only for original owner, right? I just had same problem, aerator would not come off, but this was a faucet that downward sloped, so even as best I tried, could not get it sitting in a pool of acid to...

    118F outside and battery maintainers

Which Tender? What float voltage does it keep? If you feel it (or have an IR heat gun) is it running hot? Is the battery maintenance free or has caps so you can check fluid level? If you can, is fluid level low? Can you measure /log charge rate as a daily average? How old is the battery...

    2013 Camry XLE tow hooks

At the risk of seeming crazy, my strategy has been to drive something that isn't likely to get stuck, in areas where I might get stuck. Otherwise, instead of permanently mounted, I'd consider assembling a chain hook assembly that you can slap on the control arms when the need arises...

    Floor Jack Maintenance

If items in your garage readily rust, then yes a protective coating wouldn't hurt (except be a dust/grime magnet) but I think I'd go with spray grease rather than a thinner oil of any type. The effect of a tiny bit getting inside (which means the seal is shot already?) and mixing with the jack...

    Poor A/C performance - 2013 Nissan Altima 2.5L

Any chance that someone added some of that fake R134 alternative stuff?

Brake pad and rotor recommendations for 2010 Honda Odyssey

I'd get Autozone Duralast Gold ceramic pads... because it would be a free lifetime replacement for buying them last time. ;) Are you hauling loads or maxed out with passengers so you need a severe duty pad with extra bite (at the cost of rotor wear) ? Rotors, do you have severe rust issues...

For those who over maintain their cars, just wanted to offer another viewpoint.

... and in some regions, vehicles are getting rusty as they get older, and one of the worst things that can go wrong is also brakes, rusted out hard lines. On a dual chamber reservoir setup, you're supposed to be able to lose one axle and still have braking on the other, but in my experience...

For those who over maintain their cars, just wanted to offer another viewpoint.

Well there you go, it gets expensive, quick, to have a shop do everything, especially if someone is OCD about maintenance, or an *easily suggestable* person who would have whatever work done, that a dealer svc dept suggests (depending on honesty of service advisor of course). Without knowing...

    Catch Can and CC Ventilation

lol, this topic makes no sense Do you understand how a catch can works?

    Cleaned Intake Valves Again

How difficult is it to get a borescope in there to see the intake valves? I would stop using the CRC, check the valves every so often (frequency depending on buildup rate) and then decide when to do walnut blasting.

    Toughness of braided brake lines

... or you're just getting better at doing brake jobs. :) There shouldn't be any wear difference between braided and non-.

How Likely Is It That I Can Get Bank1/Sensor2 O2 Sensor Out?

Umm, allow me to introduce you to PB Blaster, "The #1-selling penetrant since 1957", and Kroll, "The most trusted penetrating oil since 1939!" ;)

    Toughness of braided brake lines

How expensive is a replacement hose? It is a lot easier for me to spend your money and tell you to replace it, because it didn't cost me anything. It's probably fine. That last few % of maybe not fine, plus that it's brakes, plus that you "drive the car often on mountain roads and I overheat...

Am I the only one paranoid about giving people a jump start?

Yes I'm aware of that issue, but that doesn't seem like what would have happened. It wouldn't kill the battery, and wouldn't happen as the result of a jump start.

Am I the only one paranoid about giving people a jump start?

I'm having trouble wrapping my head around this. How does a spark plug blow out and how did that diagnosis happen in the exhaust shop parking lot? You were better off leaving if the manager was that obtuse, essentially putting the company on the hook for her repairs (and/or potentially...

Am I the only one paranoid about giving people a jump start?

How many fires have been attributed to phones, laptops, tablets, scooters, etc, etc Li-Ion powered devices? We know it happens. A perfectly safe device can become unsafe from a mere transistor failure (BMS malfunction), or manufacturing flaw, solder tin whisker growth, water damage, impact...

Am I the only one paranoid about giving people a jump start?

If you guys want to keep a Li-Ion jump pack in your vehicle, then you are taking your own risks. I'd much rather risk the very small chance that the donor vehicle had an overvolting alternator, than the risk that my jump pack decided to burst into flames, in my garage in my home while I'm...

    blower motor brand?

This. If the motor has access to, or can be disassembled enough to lube it, I'd try that first in any case where it is reasonably accessible. I also wonder about that with new old stock motors from any brand, if it was made several years ago and just sitting around, might be worth lubing the...

    '16 5.0 F150 Ignition Coils

Don't agree at all but don't want to write pages of rebuttal. You're just throwing away money out of paranoia unless you take your vehicle out into the desert alone, where you'd die if you were stranded. Otherwise, all you have to do is turn the engine off if it starts misfiring, long before...

    '16 5.0 F150 Ignition Coils

Huh? At 151K mi, you should not have needed to change the plugs 4 times already. It should just about be due for a 2nd plug change, if you go by those who advocate changing them every 75K-80K instead of 100K mi.
