Like I said a couple posts ago I don't need any new oil in the near future - my next change is +6 months out and I already have oil for it. For all intents and purposes I'm looking to see if it cleans up varnish to see if I'd be interested in switching in the future.

I hear you. There’s a good amount of engines that have some view through the fill hole, like Hohn’s videos. You only know you have varnish if you can see it. You only know the varnish is getting removed if you see it. It feels like I’m taking crazy pills with the other pushback.
