    Why Do Vehicles "Wear Out"

I think these touch screens they put in vehicles now days are part of the built-in obsolescence of newer vehicles. When they go bad, in many cases it renders the vehicle useless...

Please Explain to me how changing the oil, increases wear for the next 1,000 miles

If it does occur, it certainly hasn't hurt my '04 Corolla with 450K miles, which has had approx. 75 oil changes over its life span...

    Why Do Vehicles "Wear Out"

Some don't. My '04 Corolla had 450K miles and still going strong...

Why aren't penalties stiffer for people who drive without a valid license/registration/insurance?

So according to you, someone who continues driving illegally, and has been stopped by LEOs several times and has been driving illegally every time, these people should just be let go with no consequences? Maybe you are in the wrong line of work...

Why aren't penalties stiffer for people who drive without a valid license/registration/insurance?

How could you possibly know that? You certainly don't know my background, so your statement already has no credibility...

Why aren't penalties stiffer for people who drive without a valid license/registration/insurance?

You didn't answer my question. Do you have the same empathy for habitual criminals as you seem to have for those who are trying to do the right things, but aren't? If so, where do you draw the line? Is there a line?

Why aren't penalties stiffer for people who drive without a valid license/registration/insurance?

These people have the same exact opportunities everyone else has, but they CHOOSE to be criminals...the solution is to get off their butts and learn a trade. Anyone who is willing to put in the effort can do it...

Why aren't penalties stiffer for people who drive without a valid license/registration/insurance?

Do you have the same empathy for habitual law breakers? They're probably poor as well. They have the same opportunities as everyone else (maybe even more if they fit into the DEI category), but they choose to take the criminal road because it's the path of least resistance...

Why aren't penalties stiffer for people who drive without a valid license/registration/insurance?

Your idea of empathy seems to be that violators should be allowed to get away with anything...

Why aren't penalties stiffer for people who drive without a valid license/registration/insurance?

Making a mistake is excusable. People who continue driving illegally, when they've been caught doing the exact same thing before is a different story...

Why aren't penalties stiffer for people who drive without a valid license/registration/insurance?

Fine, if this happens, and the person can't afford what's required to drive legally, then don't drive...I have no empathy for people who willingly break the law...and I don't expect any if I'm caught breaking the law...

Why aren't penalties stiffer for people who drive without a valid license/registration/insurance?

If they're too poor to be able to drive legally, then they should find another way to get to work. Ride a bike. Carpool. Ride a bus. Walk. Being poor doesn't excuse driving illegally, and like was said by a previous poster, forcing everyone else's insurance to go up...

Why aren't penalties stiffer for people who drive without a valid license/registration/insurance?

Unfortunately, we live in a time where the media glorifies criminals, and demonizes the police...

Why aren't penalties stiffer for people who drive without a valid license/registration/insurance?

I'm talking about habitual violators...and not lock them up, take their vehicle...

Why aren't penalties stiffer for people who drive without a valid license/registration/insurance?

Vehicles are still way more expensive to buy than insurance. Drive legal or don't drive. I have no sympathy for people who choose to drive illegally...

Why aren't penalties stiffer for people who drive without a valid license/registration/insurance?

I agree with this. This cop should've just reminded him that his license was expired. I'm only suggesting that repeat offenders (those who are clearly, knowingly driving on a suspended license) should be hammered...

Why aren't penalties stiffer for people who drive without a valid license/registration/insurance?

They don't have the money to pay for registration or insurance, but they can afford to keep replacing vehicles? :ROFLMAO:
