It may be regulated, but I don't think that has anything to do with premium increases...there seems to be NO regulation on that...

    Auto ins just doubled!

Do you think it's reasonable for drivers to have to pay whatever the ins co wants? Where do these rate increases end?

It's pretty tough to buy into this notion every time a policy renews at a higher premium...and it does...

If no states mandated ins, premiums would drop substantially. Stop acting like ins cos are just doing business, they are taking advantage of drivers because they know the law mandates ins...

    Auto ins just doubled!

That's why I said if the states are going to continue mandating insurance, then the gov will need to step in and regulate premiums. People can't be expected to pay whatever ins cos demand to comply with the state law. If overnight, all of the states did away with the mandate, you'd see premiums...

    Auto ins just doubled!

If you ask them what's the reason for the increase, they give you the standard, cover all the bases answer. The rates have gone up in your state due to the increased cost of vehicle repairs/replacements. They've been using this excuse ever since Covid....

Slim profit margins? That's hilarious! Insurance companies have some of the highest profit margins (if not THE highest) of all businesses, and that comes directly from my sister, who is a licensed State Farm Agent...she said their profit margins are between 300 and 400%...

    Auto ins just doubled!

I hate to say it, but insurance is almost getting to the point of big brother (the government) having to step in and regulate premiums. As long as the law mandates insurance, there has got to be an end to these ever increasing premiums...it's no wonder there are so many uninsured drivers on the...

I wouldn't say doing this is much cheaper. It is cheaper, but only by a few bucks. You're paying a little extra for the ability to pay monthly...

Looking to buy a hatchback in the $5K to $10K price range

I doubt there would be any huge differences on ins. premiums for any of these vehicles. Now if one of them was a new Corvette, or something exotic like that, that would be different. Ins. premiums for these vehicles would mainly be based on my info...driving record, claims record, credit score...

I guess I'm not quite sure what your offer is. Are you selling these cars, or is this one of those "it depends on what so and so is going to do" situations? If these vehicles are definitely for sale, I'm gonna need all of the vehicle info for each vehicle for sale...and pics...

Looking to buy a hatchback in the $5K to $10K price range

I don't think any of my requirements are picky. They're actually very common. Now if one of my requirements was a mileage of less than 100K, or if it had to have had only one owner, THOSE would be picky requirements. My budget is smack in the middle for a second vehicle. If this was going to be...
