Renogy solar power install out building.

I can't remember the last time I saw a pigeon. I am not sure how they could fit, but I have seen some mesh kits.

Renogy solar power install out building.

When I say 10 hours that is start to finish with outlets, switches and shop lights wired up. The building has two closed in areas on either side. 7 feet by about 15 feet. I put lights in those spaces too. The actual Solar kit was like 4 and a half hours.

Renogy solar power install out building.

Scope-creep. It is a thing. I am already looking at upgrading this system. Maybe I will move into the shed.

Renogy solar power install out building.

Energy is cheap in Washington state. (The only thing). I was going to install a new power panel and run power out there, but it was anywhere from 15,000 to 20,000 dollars. Not worth it for that space. Solar was a really good option as we get direct sun all year. Now for my house in Washington...

Renogy solar power install out building.

I have about 1200 dollars in the system. Renogry 400 watt premium. You have to buy the battery and inverter separately. Inverter has provisions for Romex. I installed a few outlets some shop lights. It was really easy. Nice to have power in this building. It gets direct sunlight all year. I...

Getting ready to install a corvette servo and a tru cool 40k cooler on my 4L60E

I thought the biggest thing it did was help prevent the 2-3 shift flare in Corvettes. It will firm up the 1-2 shift but I remember reading it had something to do with the spring in the other accumulator not matching the new one. Maybe Cline will chime in but for a 4.3 S-10 I am sure I would...

Best methods to rule out blown head gasket following loss of serpentine belt

I removed it on all of mine. Get rid of it. I didn't think there were any LS1 cars with that still installed.

Best methods to rule out blown head gasket following loss of serpentine belt

You have air in there. It took a long time to get it out of every ls1 I have had. My 98 and 2000 Z28s and my 00 WS6. Trans Am took a couple of weeks after the last flush I did. All of mine, to include the Caprice, lose some coolant. As far as I can tell and it has been discussed for years is the...

    Quality-Built Brake Pads & Rotors

I have been really happy with anything Powerstop makes. 4 of my vehicles run them. The Caprice is 400 hp to the wheels sand 4200lbs. They Powerstops have been the best on that. The Trans Am is 440 to wheels and those Powerstops have been awesome. No fade and lots of track use.

Wife using rolling seat around planting beds - is that allowed?

The only correct answer here is: "Yes dear, do you need two?"

I take a few years break, now look what y'all have done!

I have a 2.0 LTG in Malibu. I have always used 5W-30 Dexos with no issue. How long do you go between changes on 0W-40?

How long before wax/seal new paint?

I have always been told 90 days.

    0W-40 or 5W-40 only

No. I have had a few also would not explain why the 4.8 and 6.0 didn't have the same problem. The LS1, LS2, LS3, LS4 were also stout without the problem you speak of here. Now if you had said 07 and up? I would agree lots of those use oil.

    0W-40 or 5W-40 only

The oil really has nothing to do with failed lifters on the DOD/AFM engines. They will eventually fail; does not matter what oil you use. It is how the lifter functions that causes the failure. The best way to fix it is a cam swap. That is what I did with the Caprice. Having said that I know...

Vehicle Sighting - '80s Plymouth Caravelle

I think the one here in this thread is an 85 no third brake light. Hard to tell. Now I want one but has to be at least a turbo I OP stop posting this stuff. :)

Vehicle Sighting - '80s Plymouth Caravelle

Had a bunch of K,(Aries) L,(Omni, Horizon, Charger, Turismo, Scamp), E (New Yorker, 600, Caravelle) H(Lancer, Lebaron), and G(Daytona/Laser) body cars. (I am missing some and I had all this useless knowledge saved up in my brain. Now it has been released) This is a Lebaron in the states. New...

Added a fuel shutoff valve to my 20hp Briggs V-twin

I have them on both my mowers. It is cheap easy insurance.

What are you working on today?

Predders coilovers on the Caprice. Best money I have spent on this car. Didn't feel this good when I picked it up with 12000 miles on it. Rides smooth, is quiet and planted.

Adding a cheap quart in addition to 5qt/liter jug

No. It will be fine. My Trans Am gets a mix of all the leftover oil when it is time for an oil change. Mostly Mobil 1 but various weights and other brands.

New Sierra HD with 6.6 gasser ordered, wondering about cSt

You will love it. I came out of a 2017 6.0 1 ton gasser and I wasn't sure at first but I love and it tows my 9000 lbs trailer with ease! Black always looks so good. I don't daily drive mine, but it is easy to live with and I get 8 to 9 mpg towing and 15 to 17 mpg highway. Average with...
