Keep your 2005 and your Daily. It is what I do. The 2005 is perfect for what you do.

I still like it. It has been really helpful with the boy's Duramax. It reads balance rates, requested and actual fuel rail pressure. You can shut each cylinder down individually. It is the best tool I have. Helped us get his truck running nice and smooth.
