Out with the Diesel LB7 in with the 6.0/ 4L80E

Nope it isn't and man it gets pricey...fast, but it is the boy's if he wants to keep it that is fine. Now he has two GMT800s. What I can say is all the other stuff that was done, well the injectors and CP3 needed to be done. The other stuff are things he wanted to do. I would not be afraid to...

Out with the Diesel LB7 in with the 6.0/ 4L80E

Dude you have no idea. No scanner picked it and it surged/bucked so bad no one thought it was transmission related.

Out with the Diesel LB7 in with the 6.0/ 4L80E

Figured out the Duramax. Bad valve body. Fixed. Runs perfect. Well part of the valve body anyway. Put known good used one in. Strangest problem I've ever dealt with. I think his lift helped to cause it. Problem started around that time. I had a day changed the fluid, filters and it almost went...

Out with the Diesel LB7 in with the 6.0/ 4L80E

I probably should have said, not that timing is off but one of the gears has an issue. I didn't want to pay for someone to go in there and find out that was not problem.

Out with the Diesel LB7 in with the 6.0/ 4L80E

I can tell you that was done too. The list of things is pretty long. These were reputable shops who do LOTS of work to include Semis. Last place the guy has been doing it 30 years. He had it three weeks. Was driving it to and from work. Said he has never seen anything like it. Part of the...

Out with the Diesel LB7 in with the 6.0/ 4L80E

Well we put a lot of work in the boys diesel, more than I care to talk about. It developed a weird surge cold that would get better when warm. Then over 2100 rpm it would cut power than come back on. Like over boost cutout. Scanner showed nothing. Starts and idles perfect. Good compression. 4...

2017 Malibu loses communication with fob

I think for GM stuff it is the BCM. My T10 can do some of them, not all of them.

3/4 Ton Gas vs Diesel vs Tundra

Keep your 2005 and your Daily. It is what I do. The 2005 is perfect for what you do.

    Picked up an ICON T10

I still like it. It has been really helpful with the boy's Duramax. It reads balance rates, requested and actual fuel rail pressure. You can shut each cylinder down individually. It is the best tool I have. Helped us get his truck running nice and smooth.

    Les Schwab, reputable company?

30 years the only thing I have gotten from them is lawn mower tires and alignments. The Poulsbo Les Schwab has a guy that does the best alignments I have ever have.

Hit a deer can it be fixed?

Not to steal the thread...but this truck ended up in...Mexico. I get an OnStar email about it once in a blue moon. It has over 120,000 miles on it now. I hope it is living it's best life and not doing anything illegal...lol

I loved that truck. I still miss it.

Hit a deer can it be fixed?

I won't post a long one but they totalled this. 47,000 mile. 2017 1 ton gasser. That thing is gone and I wouldn't want it back.

    Towing and gear selection

All the gasser trucks I have owned had cruise control. I will set is and let it eat unless I am in a rather hilly spot. Like going over Snoqualmie pass or any of the bigger grades out west or I am not a major highway. I have an 8000lbs travel trailer, a 6000lbs float and 9000lbs parade float...

Annoyed at my LoadRite boat trailer

I thought it was barbed. I have seen them used other places. You should be able to drive a new one in, just make sure the hole isn't damaged.

    Speedibleed and GMT400

Agreed. my kids old GMT 400 had horrible brakes. We replaced the rubber lines, the calipers, wheel cylinders and master. It was a slight improvement. We had order some upgraded stuff to put on it, but then he wrecked it...

Were those threads? It looks barbed. Either way that is a failure.

    Castrol's 25,000 mile claim

Here is the thing I don't understand. I think Blackstone charges 40 dollars for an UOA. Why not just change your oil more frequently and use the 40 bucks towards that. Again, I will never understand spending a good chunk of change on a car and trying to stretch an oil change out. Let's just...

Renogy solar power install out building.

Hole in the roof. I am good with the roofing stuff. I put that roof on myself about 7 years ago. I have flashing, sealant and that little white box that seals to the shingles.

Renogy solar power install out building.

No reason really. I had some of the stuff like the Romex laying around.
