The 3.0 TDV6 I know is a Mann filter, I usually use Mann for the wife’s 2.0D Ingenium evoque but it’s actually got a genuine LR filter in it at the moment but I don’t remember if it had the manufacturer name on it and it will be 11 months till I pull it out for a look. Mann makes filters in the...
Stay away! The build quality of these is shocking. I’ve had one in for 8 months waiting for various parts. If I was given one for free I would give it away they are that bad.
I also don’t think they drive particularly well either.
If I was doing one then yes, it will have the oil level checked after the road test.
If I’m doing a PDI then everyone else must have gone home, I’m normally fixing a EV that’s broken down, plenty of them to keep me busy.
Something is different as a DAYB base engine has a part number 06L100033C and a DJYA has a part number of 06L100033F. However the crankshaft, conrods, pistons, camshafts, timing chain and cylinder head are the same part number for both engine codes.
No, I don’t think it would, one reason is I’ve never seen a long life service regime for this engine, even Audi R8 has long life as a service option so I take that as this engine is harder on oil than most other VAG motors. Combine that with the evidence that we have here.
I’m not a fan of the concrete floor left exposed like that in the living area, I would rather wood and carpet where appropriate, also that green felt like covering on the roof looks terrible, why didn’t they just plant it out with some native low maintenance greenery
Yes, I would say the PCV diaphragm failing may have been a blessing for this engine otherwise who knows when or if it would ever have gotten one.
So we don’t do the cheep oil changes like in USA, at Audi you can buy a service plan that will cover 2x oil changes and a inspection for about £450...
So I had a look at the service book, last recorded oil change was at 93,000 miles in 2019 and looking at the cut open filter I believe that was the last time it was serviced. Up until then it had regular oil changes every 13,000 miles on average. You can see the build up in the filter before I...
It blows my mind that someone would pay that much in finance fees, surely he could have purchased a new or nearly new truck and had a very similar monthly payment to what he has now? 150% of the cost of the vehicle in finance fees is crazy.
Audi A1 suffer badly from carbon canisters filled with fuel, I’ve changed hundreds along with the N80 valve as these don’t like fuel either. I always remind the service advisor to tell the customer to not over fill the fuel tank.
My LR4 3.0 diesel and Vauxhall Corsa 1.3 CDTI both get filled to...
So
The customer decided that an oil change was a good idea. Oil came out like sludge/ gloopy. Has some carbon lumps in it too. Filter is draining and will be cut tomorrow.
I have no idea what the actual frequency of oil changes has been for this particular Audi TT 3.2 VR6 however I would think looking at this engines top end they carnt have been either that frequent or maybe wrong spec oil used and ran to full interval? Mileage is 139,500 and it’s in because the...
