My guess is the spiral cell is only one positive and one negative plate per cell separated by a contiguous spiral roll of the nano porus fiberglass mat. All others are the typical stacked plate and use a envelope for the glass matting.

If you use Mobil 1 0w40 it will keep the engine 100% looking new inside. No stains or crud.
