    Ford Racing CM-6731-FL820 C&P

The 820 looks glue free on the metal end plates of the filter element. I have used the MC 910s in my 2017 Ford Fusion and other Fords that take the 910 for many years, however recently the cut aways of the 910 have shown excess glue on the end plates that has shown up in my oil change pan, so I...

Ford duratec 2.5l in '23 Maverick hybrid (Ford WSS-M2C962-A1)

Downsides? Yes. I wouldn't use either MC 0-20 or the MC 910s filter. See my post on my latest OC in my 2017 Fusion I posted today especially about the filter.

    Post your latest oil change

Changed oil in my 2017 Ford Fusion at my normal 10K OCI with no oil loss in the last 10K run. Out: M1 5-30 In: M1 5-30 E Filter: NAPA Gold I've used the MC FL 910s for years, but with recent cut aways there appears to be excess black glue on the inside of the filter on the metal parts...

Why No 20 Weight Euro Oils ?

I started using M1 5-20 in 1978 while living in Maine. The go to oil at that time was 5-40 Valvoline (my oil of choice) but it caused terrible valve clatter in my V8 Chevy in extreme cold temps. M1 5-20 cured the start up clatter then and I've stayed with it ever since. M1 that is of various wts.

More Evidence That Doesn't Support 10K Oil Changes

I've been doing 10k OCI for the last 46 years in various engines with various types of M1 oils. One engine in my 1991 Ford Ranger had 354K with 0 internal engine problems. In fact I've never had engine, trans, or PS pump problems using M1 lubricants. 10K is just my normal OCI.

    Fords are built different

My 2017 Ford Fusion has 167 K. The only mechanical issue I have had was a front strut bearing problem at 150K.

    Fords are built different

Perhaps this is a troll. The engine may be from an early 2000 as it doesn't have VVT. If so Ford didn't have electric PS at that time. The Focus came out with electric power steering in 2012.

2007 Ford Fusion Turned 320K Today

Uh. Why would I use Kirkland oil and change every 5k? 10K has been my normal for 46+years with M1. or Costco gas since I don't shop there (35 miles away). The Fusion still passes emissions, and we drive the 07 any place we need to go. 200 mile trips are common. The car runs great. Notice the pic...
