Oldest oil filter you ever used?

I believe my father (80 y/o) still has AC Delco PF35's on the shelf in the basement for the SB350's he used to build back in the late 70's and throughout the 80's. He still uses them I think.

2022 Chevy 2.7L Silverado Burning Oil. Diagnosis?

Guy I work with keeps a couple quarts of 5w30 in the cab of his four cylinder turbo truck. He burns about a quart roughly every 2k. GM thinks a quart every 2k is acceptable apparently. I told him to try a 40 weight oil to see if it reduces consumption.

    Baldwin filters opinions

I’ve used them in the past off & on. Been happy with them, just do your homework as some have better efficiency ratings them others ex. 27 micron absolute on the B7491 with silicone anti drain back which is the direct cross to the FL910S. Others are in the 40 micron range absolute.

Best filter for 2.3 ecoboost (fl-910-s)?

Could possibly see that happening after finding a little excessive black glue on my last FL910S on the bottom of the metal end cap and lower region of the cellulose media. Switched to the Carquest premium on the last Ford Escape change.

Wix 57145 on my JD riding mower currently instead of Fram FS4967 like previously used. About 1/2" longer, diameter is the same. Bypass Valve setting is basically the same 11-14 psi vs 12 psi. OE John Deere AM107423 looks like Champ filter with John Deere markup.

Anyone doing a 'frankenbatch' of oil?

I’m up to two quarts of brew from my leftover dripping bottles into one after new oil changes. Little 20, majority 30 and a bit of 40 weight leftovers. All synthetic, probably reserved for the push mowers annual change.
