Sharing some shearing test results about Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30...

Does "it" refer to the BMW approval? You're saying if you're not doing long duration OCIs then the BMW approval doesn't matter as much?

Apologies. Her threads have been mainstays around for a bit, and I assumed people knew. I should have linked. Subaru Outback oil burner VRP results Essentially she developed an oil burner with a majority usage of Valvoline EP.

Ok, that's all well and good. I'm just telling you what happens at Toyota dealerships, from what I understand from many reports. Maybe yours is different. I'd watch them pour the oil in next time.

    Amsoil Euro 5w-40

Thanks. Did you just return it back with your receipt and get the credit on your credit card, or did you have to do a no-receipt return and get in-store credit? I have a Toyota and use OEM filters which are cheap to begin with, and I get deals on them, so I don't need the filter.

Yeah that is kind of what I've gathered as well. ESP seems to have a higher quality base oil. VRP seems like a standard group III synthetic with the magic cleaning potion added. In addition to the PAO, appears to have ester as well.

Castrol edge extended gold bottle questions

Given Glenda's experience with it, I'd personally stay far away, but maybe it'll work in your application. Don't really see a reason to use anything other than VRP from the Valvoline line up (unless you need Euro specs) since even Valvoline themselves says it's their top of the line, premium oil.

Why do you think ESP is a better oil? Earnest question.

Did you watch them open the quart bottles and pour it in? They have it, but you have to request it specifically and pay extra. They just use bulk oil by default.

If you do this oil + filter deal, can you return the filter for a full credit? That would make it similar in price to Walmart oils.

Response from Liqui Moly tech referencing Mos2 usage.

You recommend against the BG EPR flushes? I have never done one. I have a friend who swears by them. He says he just did one and got 1.5 MPG improved fuel economy.

Unfortunately I can tell you that they're not using TGMO. They are going to be using the cheapest stuff they can get. I've read reports from Toyota techs who have come to work and seen pallets of Supertech and Kirkland signature oil to be used for oil changes.

Oil Change Intervals 3k vs Longer with full synthetic

How much oil do you burn on that Honda? It seems to be a notorious oil burner. Someone here even burning with HPL and AMSOIL in it.

    Annual Pennzoil rebate; expires 8-31-25

Yes I received an email with a confirmation code. I also received an email that they received my CS request (I called them because I was worried that they would not give me the full $30). But that was a few weeks ago.

This is a very interesting finding. Why do you suppose the Expedition burned AMSOIL SS but not M1?
