I had some brake issues with my previous 5 horse trailer. Erratic braking, weak at times, etc. I think 3 of the 4 drums had shoes that delaminated. Anyways, not quite the same issues but I bet the lining was already lifting and catching.

Another way is to leverage the rotor off. Remove the caliper and use a hefty bolt and nut in-between. Just tightened it to pop it free.

Finished the last of the OSB strapping. Hooked the trailer power back up as well. I'm back to work tomorrow so I won't bother doing the roof and flooring yet. This weekend my wife starts packing for the next horse show. I'm still looking for a decent shore power hookup. Maybe 30 amp service...

It was pretty warm today and now the breeze has stopped, the humidity is up and there is something ugly brewing to the west. I'm sitting on the deck, grilling some little fillets on the charcoal, drinking a fake beer and here is my view to the south.

Still on the Corona sun brew fake beer. A slice or two of lime and one really hits the spot.

The weather is just right to grill and drink a fake beer. Beef ribs, pork ribs and some fillets. Everything is being finished on the charcoal.

I took the plunge and cut the roof to get the fan installed. Actually, it was quite easy, I just measured twice and took my time. It's runs great and once the roof panels are in, it will look quite nice. On a side note, I love that eternabond tape. Made the install even quicker.

It's already been said but get a solid half ton and upgraded it to tow better. 10 ply tires and air bags. I couldn't imagine daily driving my 3500 day in and day out. Love the truck but they are cumbersome and punishing. A gasser might be a slight improvement but overall a poor choice...

Finished the first phase of redoing the horse trailer front tack. All the old paneling is out along with anything that was moldy or wrecked by mice. New strapping and insulation is installed. On order is a direct to DC rv roof fan which will wire right to the battery. I will mount a shore...

Continued working on the horse trailer. Finished tearing the carpet out, removing the underlay and vacuuming out the last of the mess. The rain came so I shut it down for supper. Tomorrow I hope to have the new OSB strapping cut and mounted along with the new insulation.

Began the arduous process of tearing into the front tack of our 6 horse trailer. We bought it used and knew the roof and front seams had to be resealed. It has the weekender package so it is insulated and has paneling. We also found some mouse crap and knew we had to tear into it. Well...
