HPL EC treatment started. 2007 Camry 2AZ-FE 153k consumption.

Okay. I think I have had my fill now. Thursday: 6:30pm - 1 rotation - Heavy 3 ounces into each cylinder (12 ounces) I have a wedding to go to on Saturday and in-laws visiting on Sunday, so tomorrow is when I am going to finish this project up. I plan to shop vac out whatever liquid is left in...

HPL EC treatment started. 2007 Camry 2AZ-FE 153k consumption.

Wednesday: 10:00pm - 6 rotations - 2+ ounces of B12 in each cylinder (9 ounces) Cranking this **** engine is killing my elbows. I don't know if cylinders 1 and 3 started to drain again or (more likely) they spewed out their B12 pools into the sacrificial bath towel after I rotated it earlier...

To continue... Tuesday: 10:00am - 6 rotations - 2 ounces of B12 in each cylinder (8 ounces) Wednesday: 4:00pm - 6 rotations - 3 ounces of B12 in cylinders 2 and 4 (6 ounces) - oil drained and drain bolt left out. The "oil" level on the dipstick was definitely a decent bit above the high mark...

Yeah, you're right. I am going to stop on the way home and grab a can for tonight. If I have an extra can to shelve I'm sure I will find a use for it eventually. I am now a bit concerned with how much B12 has gone in before I add any more. The dipstick was about halfway down, but I would...

Ah. Thanks bud. I am out of B12 but am considering getting another can to dump in the two cylinders that are still draining. I wouldn't think that there is any harm in letting it sit in the oil pan since it should be floating on top of the oil and the inside of the pain shouldn't be painted, but...

Hm. It has been almost 24 hours since I last added B12 and cylinders 1 and 3 still have liquid in them. Is that more likely to indicate that the rings are still completely stuck/encased and not allowing anything past them, or that they are free and not allowing anything past them? I won't be...

AWD. I have not had a chance to try it out compared to FWD but hopefully I will be happy to have it should it snow this year. And Piloteers is bookmarked for me, too. That is where I got clued into the whole VCM conversation. As for the Camry, I didn't get out to her until 10am this morning...

HPL EC treatment started. 2007 Camry 2AZ-FE 153k consumption.

Thanks. I think I am going to take a table spoon of SuperTech into each cylinder and crank it by hand before starting it with the plugs out to blow out any carbon/B12/oil. Then I am going to hit it with some tubing on the end of my shop vac just to be safe. The last thing I want to do after all...

I will also say that she is starting to get hard to crank by hand at top dead center and the opposite. In between is easy, but my elbow is hurting on those two now. I have to come in through the front passenger side wheel so I am using an extension straight off of the crank pulley. So far...

I'm glad someone is enjoying this, haha. I have two more OCIs worth of data sets on the consumption that include BG EPR to share, but figured I would do that when I finish the soak. In the meantime, the same car has been through the ringer. At some point the battery light came on, and after...

The existing spark plugs. These are Denso Iridium long life that only have about 37-38k on them. I am no expert but they definitely look a bit cooked to me... The ones I pulled out at 120k looked better than these. I got some Denso Platinum TT's for $3 a piece on RockAuto until I see if this...

I'm baaaack. I finally have a third vehicle so today I decided to put the Camry up on stands and do some work. I changed the valve cover first since she is 17 years old with 160k and had never had it done. Talk about crispy bacon. It was intact but hard as a rock. After I confirmed that was...

VCM Disabler on VCM-3 Hondas. Does anyone have updates?

That was my thought as well. The same issues could be better masked by those electronically controlled motor mounts, but still causing the same problems. Honda forums seem to be somewhat divided over the usefulness of disabling VCM-3 as people don't seem to report as many problems. Honda...

VCM Disabler on VCM-3 Hondas. Does anyone have updates?

I just purchased a 2018 Honda Pilot Touring with 104k miles (and the ZF9 9-speed automatic transmission). I can't say that I notice any VCM-related issues with her, but I picked up a VCMTuner II this morning and intend to install it when it gets here knowing what I do about the problems the...

Any advice to bang out this trunk lid dent?

I got her ten years ago for $9k with 60k miles on her. The spoiler was just an awesome bonus on a robin's egg blue Camry.

Any advice to bang out this trunk lid dent?

I had considered this, but I figured it would just wind up jacking up the sheet metal before it ever popped that dent out. Worth a try I guess.

Any advice to bang out this trunk lid dent?

Some jerk backed into my daily beater with a rolloff or tow truck or something. I'm not looking for perfect, I just want to bang it back out so it looks normal-ish. The problem is that the thin inner layer of metal that the wiring clips onto is in the way. Since I probably need to wail on it...

    ATF for Power Steering?

I use Maxlife ATF in my 2007 Camry for both the transmission and power steering. It works great in both and I have no reason to use anything else unless they stop making it.

Is 112k miles too high mileage for a Transmission service?

I am legitimately curious at approximately what point of unattended transmission fluid does clutch material begin to suspend and therefore prevent a flush? Barring other variables like driving habits and whatnot. Is 112k still in the green?

Is 112k miles too high mileage for a Transmission service?

Since you have an automatic transmission, I would second the suggestion to not do a full flush if it has never been touched for 112k miles. There is no such thing as a "lifetime" fluid, so regardless of how yours looks if it has never been serviced it wouldn't be a bad idea to do a slow...
