Which Mobil synthetic grease will mix with Mobil 1 Synthetic Gear Lubricant LS 75W140

Nothing like a proper rebuild period. Rebuild and reseal. All the people restoring old gearboxes end up damaging it with premature wear in the worm gear and bearings.

1953 Jeep M38A1, F134. Unknown oil, unknown miles on oil

Great to see a fellow Willys owner. I own a couple of WW2 Jeeps. I'd try the Valvoline VR1 oil next time. Any pics on the Jeep? Honestly an engine rebuild on these Willys is cake. What's your plan with this thing? Is it restored?

    Optima Batteries

The batteries are worth every penny! Beware of buying them locally due to most of them being old stock. Purchase them directly from their largest dealer. Super nice people and always have the latest production batch. Upgraded my Subaru outback 2021 oem battery. Weigh less and have better...

Do the new LTx still break exhaust manifold bolts?

First I’ve heard of mass issues with GM ecotec engines. 90% of engines after 60k regardless of brand will probably break a bolt or two anyways.

Do the new LTx still break exhaust manifold bolts?

Why would anyone mess with a brand new engine under warranty 5 year/ 60k. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

    2021 Subaru Outback 2.5L/ Mobil 1 AFE 0w-30 2.8k Miles

Just checked my airbox and the intake ducting. Everything is nice and tight. I guess I'll just wait for another 2-3 oil changes before testing again for silicone. Guessing it's factory new sealant/ gaskets still shedding.

    2020 Subaru Legacy 2.5L; M1 EP 0w20 21k mile OCI

Normal driving the CVT is quite smooth on the Subarus. However If you drive it aggressively or at high speeds it will simulate shifts and use firm shift points. In theory there are no shifts on a CVT.

    Recent Experience At Discount Tire

I could of probably pushed for new OEM wheels. However getting scratch marks was bound to happen overtime with shops. So I figured getting new tires was a better choice as far as compensation. I don't currently have the means to rotate my own tires. I'm seriously reconsidering if I take my new...

    Recent Experience At Discount Tire

I agree! Not having the correct sockets was a $1200 mistake. Could probably buy the whole shop a set with that amount of money. Anyways I had 2 previous rotations with them and no issues. So either somebody wasn't paying attention or they simply used a huge socket out in a hurry.

    Recent Experience At Discount Tire

So I recently took in my Subaru Outback for a tire rotation at Discount Tire. Next day washing/ detailing my car I noticed several lug nut opening had swirl marks from oversized or misused sockets. Recently did a brake job myself and all the rims were immaculate. Anyways I left some feedback on...

    2020 Subaru Legacy 2.5L; M1 EP 0w20 21k mile OCI

I wouldn’t say 100% that’s the reason. Harder you accelerate the more fuel is used. Fuel gets past the rings regardless. However since your probably the only person online that’s actually gone beyond the 10k miles boundary and actually posted it. I guess first time most Subarus owners get to see...

problem with Honda dealership oil change.

It’s a sad world we live in as far a customer service and craftsmanship goes. People don’t even double check their work. Post covid workforce sucks.

    2020 Subaru Legacy 2.5L; M1 EP 0w20 21k mile OCI

I think the OP results are excellent. However I just can’t make any sense of it. It’s been repeatedly said here and in other Subaru forums that there’s no difference in dilution with highway or city with FB25DI. Almost everybody has fallen out of grade rapidly by the 2-3k mark on 0w-20. Even I...

    2021 Subaru Outback 2.5L/ Mobil 1 AFE 0w-30 2.8k Miles

I always take my samples with my engine fully warmed up. 190+ deg F. Dilution was probably down due to winter being very mild this year in MN. This sample happened to be taken after a 30 mile round trip. Nobody yet really knows what fuel dilution would do in large quantity if modern DI at the...
