Zerex Asian is finally available in concentrate!

I got the pink 50/50 at Rock for $14, a couple years ago. Always heard Toyota was like $31. Is the concentrate pink? I always wondered, what do Toyota drivers do in Alaska? 50/50 won't cut it.

What are you working on today?

Leaving the rink yesterday with my son, got this. Didn't see any bulbs out, when I turned on the flashers, headlights, and walked around. So we went into a strip mall, and backed up towards a store front. I saw 1/2 right brake lamps was out, fine. I've had this car 18.5 years, and the only...

Anyone ever change oil in rental car?

In the old days, with rental companies, one could give a receipt and be reimbursed. Washer fluid, oil, etc. Today, I doubt it.

    Lets talk about new vehicles

Hard to say, my hunch is again it's the megapixel conundrum. We want a simple or single way to judge goodness. 2 of my wife's tires on her now defunct Enclave were traction B (in my life this is the only vehicle I've ever had that had 3 different tires on it--warranty replacement at Costco...

    Lets talk about new vehicles

imho it takes a lot of back end support to maintain an app. The ones that do, do, and the ones that don't, do not. My buddy is a member at VyStar and they were down I think half a year. Honda is likely the same, overpromise and underdeliver. The key in IT is to do the reverse, that's how one...

    Lets talk about new vehicles

Don't forget UTQG is self reported, no different than mpgs. I had a Bridgestone RE070 that was rated 140 A A. The tires lasted about 39k--I replaced because fronts were fine but rears were down to the treadwear bars. What is curious to me is how many Michelins now have a B traction rating...

    Oil filter wasn't changed

I can only imagine more expensive jobs such as trans fluid, coolant, brake flush. Where it’s not as easy for a customer to verify work was done. I guess no different than when a customer sends food back. I’ve heard conventional wisdom is ok in a fine restaurant.

Thread for photos that 100% do not violate any Terms Of Service, not political, not too lewd, no gas price pics etc.

This is a Traverse RS that was next to us. The marker light is LED, correct? Looked it up online and appeared to be one unit. Not a housing with a bulb. When behind it, it had quad square tips. But I noticed on the outers there was no exhaust at all. The inners lined up with the resonators.

    Yesterday at the DMV

My coworker went to renew his license in late April and it took 7 hours. He was afraid it would close (Phila). I did the same in March and it took 2 1/2 hrs. The shame of it was all the time was spent in line to where they triage the customers. Once I stated license renewal did online (need...

    Oil filter wasn't changed

I do agree. You gave me good advice on an eBay sale where the item showed delivered, to another city, through eBay tracking. No response from seller. I was gonna post a negative review. I waited 2 more days, the seller apologized profusely saying I am a new business and my assistant made a...

    Lets talk about new vehicles

Yes! When I attended the worldwide ice resurfacing machine convention in Miami, back in the 90’s, a couple German and Japanese reps said their ice is maintained at -1.7 C, whereas you guys do -6.67 C. They had to adjust for the different freezing temps that they have. Not only that their...

    Oil filter wasn't changed

This activity is even documented on camera on YouTube. If I were OP I’d let one of them local news consumer advocates know. They love this stuff and busting dishonest businesses

    Oil filter wasn't changed

I doubt that filter was changed. Imagine how many are getting the same service and don’t know. As far as the date code there are things that are manufactured and date coded into the future. Imho this is why so many have to DIY. It’s an important fluid yet many out there are OK charging for...

    Lets talk about new vehicles

I’ve often thought Honda and Subarus for some reason install horns that nobody can hear. Is there a Japanese regulation limiting the decibels to under 30? Meanwhile the most diminutive German car is louder than a Who concert in 1976. Example brand new CR-Vs

    Ford police vehicles

I didn’t realize the Explorer (current) was not body on frame (but makes total sense since prior was FWD based). One of the things that is unattainable for us are those 6 piston 16” rotor Brembos that are also part of the Tahoe PPV. If ordered with the vehicle they are dealer installed and a...

    Ford police vehicles

😂 I always said ice hockey costs $xx,xxx per year. The Suburban to go with it, $94k. It wasn’t planned but our car was a total loss in May, so we ordered a Tahoe…dang kid outgrew his shoulder pads so we likely will go sidelineswap.com (it’s ridiculous what great deals there are on lightly used...

    Ford police vehicles

Isn't that generation a true RWD platform, and they beefed them up to sustain a 50 mph rear end collision or something like that? I know I was intrigued by the newer gen and ST model. But we've ultimately gone Tahoe ourselves...

    Ford police vehicles

I would have thought Tahoe was displacing Ford, and Stellantis was dead last. Although Stellantis I thought was way cheaper so you'll see outfilts like the PA and OH state police with them (heard they had cooling issues), whereas the locals will have brand new Tahoes. My wife is friends with...

This is a rental car rant

I believe they do the same as the vehicle leaves the lot, but, better to DIY....pretty sure car dealers and car washes also are filming in HD when vehicles enter
