Several spark plug manufacturers are more for a “multiple fit” rather than specific fit like AC Delco in General Motors. Seen many problems created using anything other than manufacturers’ specified spark plugs.

Smoke test. Add several ounces of trans fluid in the intake when engine is cold/noisy and watch for smoke in and around exhaust manifold and flanges.

Cracked exhaust manifold or loose manifold bolts? Perhaps the leak “seals” up after the heat expansion takes place. Just a thought….

That does nothing. As mentioned several short interval oil & filter changes are better. Why that though?? Is the engine sludged?

My 5.3 GMC has also had 0w20 towing my boat and numerous U-Haul moving trailers. 100k miles and counting….
