High maintenance costs and lack of fuel strands hydrogen busses

Hydrogen generally sucks. Battery EV makes way more sense overall IMO.

    Microgard Select MSL51348 cut open

All MSLs (green box) are Premium Guard, SOME MGLs (red box) are Premium Guard, some are Wix, you have to inspect it to see which.

2024 Honda Prologue Owners Review - Touring AWD

Exactly. I'm really grateful that I was in the Prologue, not any of the older vehicles I'd had before, as I think the end result would have been far worse for me.

2024 Honda Prologue Owners Review - Touring AWD

The final update to this review. Early this month, I got in a pretty severe car accident in the Prologue. The vehicle ended up on its side, the side airbags went off, and I crawled out the sunroof. Pretty sad that "Blueberry" got its life cut short, but mine wasn't, and that's more important...

Charter/Spectrum and Cox Communication merger talks

Latency is significantly worse in most cases, though, so if you do lots of online gaming you might not be happy with it.

    Great Trash Service

That’s interesting that you can pick your trash service. Everywhere I’ve ever lived, there was only one option.

    Printable oil change reminder stickers?

These days with cars built in oil change reminders the roll of oil change stickers gets used up more by kids sticking the stickers all over random stuff in the store than adults actually taking them for their intended purpose. At least that’s what it feels like!

    Printable oil change reminder stickers?

I bought a roll of these at some point off eBay or you can grab them from the parts store for free. I just ordered a roll because I didn't want any company logos on it. I think I used like three of them haha. Don't do many oil changes anymore.

What do you think about Super Start Platinum AGM Group 48 (O'Reilly)

They are fine. The warranty on the Super Start Platinums was recently increased from 3 years to 4 years which is nice. If they were junk and all dying at 3.5yrs they wouldn't have done that. Enjoy your new battery! I am big on shopping for batteries based on convenience/location, not brand.

More problems with Bosch spark plugs

Yeah, I'm not a Bosch fan. Don't like their spark plugs, o2 sensors, or wiper blades. Their "iBooster" electric brake booster in Volts/Bolts is known to make weird noises (although I never had a problem with it). I'm not saying all Bosch stuff is bad, but I think they stretch themself too thin...

Musk Says Tesla ‘Dug Our Own Grave’ With The Cybertruck

It's not just expensive to buy, but it's also expensive to insure, tires cost $2K per set, and you can't park it somewhere without worrying if someone will mess with it. Politics aside, the number of people who can afford this thing are limited. At the original $35K price point (fine, with...

DocuSign email received. Thoughts, and BOLO.

I think using a VPN at your house is literally pointless in terms of general security. You'll still get spam email. You can still get malware on your computer. And you're simply moving the potential logging of your internet activity from your ISP (a big company everyone has heard of) to some...

My first Tesla! 2025 Model 3 RWD

So, insurance for the Tesla is actually $100/mo cheaper than the Prologue was. Not sure how people are doing other stuff while FSD drives them around. It uses a camera to monitor the driver. It will detect if you have your phone in your hand, play with the car's screen for too long, or don't...

My first Tesla! 2025 Model 3 RWD

The Equinox EV was a purchase, not a lease, so it's going to stay in the household for a long time... we'll see about battery longevity. The primary driver of that vehicle does A LOT of miles so we'll blow past the 100K warranty much sooner than the 8 year mark. On the Tesla, the HVAC is great...

My first Tesla! 2025 Model 3 RWD

Out with the Honda Prologue and in with a Tesla Model 3. It's a VERY different experience but not in a bad way. After my test drive last week I thought about it and decided this was the way I wanted to go. I thought about it for a week before making the leap and ordering it. What a great...

Musk Says Tesla ‘Dug Our Own Grave’ With The Cybertruck

OK, but two things: 1. Drive for an hour and you will see at least a few "Highland" Model 3s and if you pay enough attention you'll even see at least one "Juniper" Model Y in the same time. Keep in mind these are new models bought recently. 2. Used cars. Just because you trade in your Tesla EV...

Musk Says Tesla ‘Dug Our Own Grave’ With The Cybertruck

OMG, I am not that dense, I understand they are not buying a dozen Cybertrucks. You can't exactly stuff it in a suitcase! But clearly people are interested in the vehicle if they are taking the time to go see it/be driven in it/test drive it, while traveling to the US. Let's say you came to San...

Musk Says Tesla ‘Dug Our Own Grave’ With The Cybertruck

Went to Tesla Fremont yesterday to pick up my new Model 3. Cybertruck had tons of interest. Some huge group of European tourists was taking turns taking photos with them and test driving or something. And there was one in the delivery prep area so I guess someone bought one. I do see plenty of...
