4th gen Toyota Sienna ATF change

Nice thing about that toyota ecvt is that you can use pretty much anything in it, it has no clutches. Only the honda geared ecvt does need a specific fluid because it has a clutch for direct drive. You'd be served well with castrol transmax which Walmart carries.

Mobil 1 AFE 0w-30 in 1.5T Honda - Impressed so far

She likes driving a manual and as a daily? that's surprising.

2009 Camry 2AZ-FE with 90k miles was flushed with green coolant

Definitely a no. All I've used in my two old iron blocks is universal green coolant since new and they have over 600k miles combined. Also it seems that color specific coolants are a lie too. They have a tint to make people feel warm and fuzzy but are the same thing but truthfully it's not...

OIl Grade Suggestion for 300k 6.0L Chevy..

Only 25 psi hot idle with 20w-50? At hot idle with 15w-40 I never see the needle go below 30. Maybe that thick oil is helping with compression and efficiency more so than it can hurt it but I don't know for sure. I wonder if all that engine braking you did wore your engine out much faster. My...

AGAIN...what's the 'best' engine oil for me?

I had no idea you could change fonts in the browser. I looked up font in chrome settings and it popped up, guess I'll be playing around with this for a while. I'll see if I can make it a little bit bigger as I think that should help with my low resolution.

AGAIN...what's the 'best' engine oil for me?

So I'm guessing my 1080p screen is bad because anything but this font this website uses looks bad. Times new roman is somewhat unreadable on this screen. It's so pixelated and fuzzy. I don't know what helvetica is I'll have see how that looks. I remember 4K monitors being super expensive long...

AGAIN...what's the 'best' engine oil for me?

That's even better, oil choice doesn't matter if it won't be there for 100k. The wet belt is an oil submerged belt that drives the oil pump and these like the degrade although the newer ones don't degrade as fast as the earlier ones. Still if one wants to own these to or beyond 150k miles that...

Another fire has started near me

Growth that they refuse to spend in removing whose cost wouldn't even be 1% in comparison to the cost of damages caused from not removing it. The native Americans understood controlled burns.

AGAIN...what's the 'best' engine oil for me?

It almost doesn't matter what you use that wet belt will be the issue and the reason the engine will need to be torn into near or after 150k. I'd be weary of using anything that claims to be high mileage or anything like that. I believe the plasticizers will degrade the belt even faster than...

    Valvoline vr1 20w-50, 300 miles, Pontiac WS6, LS3 6.2, New motor

There's a good website called pdf2jpg and pdf2png that can convert pdf's really well.

    Valvoline vr1 20w-50, 300 miles, Pontiac WS6, LS3 6.2, New motor

It's a new engine so metals will be high. Have you considered m1 15w-50. It's a pretty great oil and walmart carries it on shelves for $25...

Oil Recommendation for Ferrari 328 GTS

I believe old ferrari's came with 10w-50 or maybe 10w-40? so you could use m1 15w-50 or a stout full syn hdeo like mobil delvac extreme or valvoline heavy duty full synthetic 15w-40 which would also be good. But I think m1 15w-50 will be great for it. But I can't see it having any issue with a...

Back down this road again: 0w-20 Civic 2.0 NA highway commuter car

You'd be served well with 0w-20 in that highway driven na pi 2.0. Me being me I'd bump to 30 to get my thickie jollies if that car was mine but I'd still change well before the olm. ST 5w-30 would be fine for short intervals. But if one's concerned about warranty then ESP 0w-20 is the choice...

    5.7 Hemi spark plug question

Where did you get those plugs from. Even getting them from the parts store can be risky if you've given boxes that look like they've been opened once as the cardboard looks creased or messed with. I wonder if you got fake ones. Real iridiums definitely should last way longer than 10k.

    MMO as Jack Oil?

True but most hydraulic oils are thicker than jack oil but would still work fine for the most part. Most common hydraulic oils are in between 46 and 68. But iso 32 is what almost all jack oils are and would be correct. Only problem is that I rarely see hydraulic oil sold in anything less than 1...

    MMO as Jack Oil?

Definetly not. It has a kv 100 of only 2-3 whereas jack oil is around 6 cst like most low viscosity ATF. You'd be better off using that as it's just fancy over additized jack oil as far as the jack can see but the additives in the atf won't do anything to the cylinder. Is there not a walmart...

    Could smaller be better?

If the oil filter is full of oil because the adbv is working then the size shouldn't matter. If the filter are letting oil drain out then smaller could be better but it's not likely. Many people have had their lifters clear up after using high detergent oil which was hdeo for a long time but...

Which engine oil having high level of resist to fuel dilution

I take it you changed your mind on posting the thread but I'm having lunch and I'm bored. Not only do oils with a higher viscosity resist fuel dilution but also lower vii ones but the specific polymer matters. I believe star polymers do better but having less polymers is still preferred. But if...
