    Chevrolet BOLT resurgence

I post it because my career was in business; specifically in corporate financial analytics. Businesses are in the business of making money. The Bolt has been great for customers; they love them. It is a loss leader for GM. Regarding Tesla's business, start ups always lose money until they grow...

New Tesla Model YL unveiled in China

My neighbors have a 3 row Model Y. You have to be an infant to fit in the back,if you can get there at all. And forget about cargo space. The stretch Model Y has a ton of potential. Time will tell.

Progressive car insurance, found a way to lower rates

I've been with Costco Connect Insurance for years. You can get an online quote pretty easy or just make a call. Just don't tell them you have a Tesla M3P.

Home insurance rate changes since 2021.

Yeah, I don't like to talk about home prices around here because it sounds so uppity. I bought the worst house in Los Gatos at the bottom of the market; sometimes you get lucky. On one hand it's a freakin' gold mine; on the other hand people have to have a place to live. But this is an...

    Chevrolet BOLT resurgence

Given the loss of the tax credit, the chances of the Bolt being profitable are pretty slim. The Bolt EV and EUV models were never profitable for GM. While the Bolt saw a sales surge in its final years due to price cuts and the addition of the EUV, GM has publicly stated that the vehicle did not...

Home insurance rate changes since 2021.

I'm not as smart or brave as @Dave Hess. I just take it one day at a time and everything works out... FYI the house is old (1962 and 1200 sq ft) but is not a tear down. You might be surprised what the houses go for on my old block... But they rarely go for sale as it is a nice place to live.

Home insurance rate changes since 2021.

The funny thing is, my house ain't worth much. Now the dirt it sits on is another story... Lower my insurance right now!

Progressive car insurance, found a way to lower rates

I used to do that, but with the house and all the cars bundled, Costco Connect was untouchable. But yeah, can't hurt to check. Kinda funny, we really don't drive that many miles especially for California, I'm 72, wifey is 10 years younger and no accidents at all. I think it was almost a year...

Progressive car insurance, found a way to lower rates

At first I was surprised how low my insurance premiums were. But just this year they jumped; I wondered what happened... My guess is the cost to repair plus insurance prices increases across the board was a double whammy... Ouch! All in, my cost of living is pretty low, so I try and be thankful...

Progressive car insurance, found a way to lower rates

It jumped to $900 for 6 months; $515 is Collison. That's what jumped. When I bought the 2024 Model 3 Performance and switched from the 2018 Model 3 Mid Range RWD, my insurance actually went down. I think I was paying like $450; not sure. Boy was I surprised by the jump. What's a poor boy to do?

    Blazer EV SS - Nice!

You are just being logical. No one needs a Porsche, Corvette, BMW, Ferrari, Tesla Model 3 Performance, you name it. Of course I have my eye on a Taycan Turbo... Remember how DeLorean's GTO unexpectedly started the muscle car craze? 0-60 in 6 flat? No one needed that but a ton sold. The top...

Tallest building in Oregon sold for pennies on the dollar.

That started in the late 80's with the advent of the PC. So many bookeepers and accounting staff became obsolete overnight. Then lowly programmers wrote code that replaced analysts and their spreadsheets. You are right; AI is a game changer. There will not be enough jobs for people. Winners...

Progressive car insurance, found a way to lower rates

Costco Connect has been really good, but recently jacked up the prices especially for our Tesla. What's a poor boy to do?
