The 7317 is not oversize, it is undersize. The 7317 became a standard size in Honda (and perhaps) others. Never spec'd for Hyundai/Kia. Done for fitment issues on Honda replacing the long time larger 3593A or 9688 size. Always use the H/K filters and avoid service issues, whether unfounded or not.
