    2009 Kia Sedona - Front Wheel-bearing Replacement

did RA re-ship them or that same lost shipment is on its way to be delivered tomorrow?

    2009 Kia Sedona - Front Wheel-bearing Replacement

Simple solution.. Talk to your credit card company, tell them, let them issue a refund. Then watch RockAuto contact you when they don't have their money anymore. RA wants to screw around with giving you useless scripted AI type responses, take your money back. That's my advice. I'm...

    The 1 Minute Eye Exam

thanks for explaining how it's been for you at Walmart.. doesn't sound too bad. Only if you get a decent office staff who knows what they're doing. Sounds like they knew their optical staff needed some training.. and $280 for progressives is a low price! (y)

    The 1 Minute Eye Exam

Thanks for the update on the latest tech. Very cool. How has it been for you at Walmart's vision dept? I've been wanting to check them out, but would be nice to hear your experience. I know every location is different.

    Carshield

aren't they being sued? I thought I heard that.. hmm.. when I have more time I should research that, or you could google "lawsuit carshield" might see some details on lawsuits. But no I think they're a scam.. Most warranties that are good are the OEM extended ones.

More problems with Bosch spark plugs

Had a mustang back in the day, I too was swayed by the "oh it's platinum, must be good" marketing back then. Engine ran terrible, and here being a beginner thought the ignition system needed to be replaced. Still engine ran like junk.. couldn't be the "best thing ever" plugs.. but it was...

How come ac lifespan is so short on cars?

it's not imaginary.. automakers know when a part will fail, they do analysis to know these numbers. I've known people at the "Big 3" that have been in meetings where the management knows it will fail just outside warranty and they don't care at all.

    Honda parts site recommendation

Conicelli Honda is an awesome place, very quick to ship/good service and yep I'm in Michigan too, decent shipping prices. Found some of those online dealers charging INSANE prices for shipping, making their profit up in shipping. Some Honda dealers here in Michigan are charging above list price...

Toyota Camry 2011 LE P/S fluid type?

I re-read your original post.. yeah the dealer's are expensive. There's a tool you can use at toyota's auto parts website. They let you select a dealer near you and I've used that to see who had the lowest prices. You could always call around and see if the parts dept will sell it cheaper to...

Toyota Camry 2011 LE P/S fluid type?

nope I didn't undo any fittings, only sucked out the old fluid with a syringe from the reservoir.. Re-filled with new, ran that for a couple days, sucked that out.. did that about 3-4 times. Not a lot of fluid that's in that system.. just a poor man's "drain/fill" method. I know the first...

Toyota Camry 2011 LE P/S fluid type?

EDIT: I think that last link you sent was showing the non-Mobil 1 version. The Mobil 1 synthetic version ATF is the one I knew the Scion community was using. Just making sure if that's what you meant.

Toyota Camry 2011 LE P/S fluid type?

hey you're welcome. Ya I think any of those would work perfectly. I guess I'm just of the thinking if it aint broke and been working well with something, just don't try to fix it with something different/new. The other thing I can tell you, don't be surprised the old stuff is dark, it does...

Toyota Camry 2011 LE P/S fluid type?

here's my thought and yes I own a Toyota (Scion). Think about when your car was made, it specified a certain type of fluid. Newer stuff comes out, doesn't mean it's better. If it's been fine with the original type of fluid, keep using it, don't fix what isn't broken. I've had many in the...

    Strut mount replacement bushing question

I know this might be a capt obvious moment.. Why not tighten down that center nut to the factory torque specs? The aftermarket HAD to know what that was and set up their bushing for that tightness/torque. I think that would end having to guess how tight it should be.

    Bought a Cheap Accord

thanks for the update.. but what a bummer! stoopid trees! did that one dent in the roof affect the movement of the sunroof? and be interesting to see how the no-name chinese compressor works for ya! maybe it will be as nice as that no-name chinese power steering pump you installed before...

thanks for the info.. (y)good timing for your info, close to doing the entire brake job, I'll get some of those bolts. and yeah I agree it's nice to do the bolt method instead of whacking on it, knowing my aim I'll hit something I shouldn't! lol

Are those bolts the standard size for Toyota rotors? I have an 06 Scion tC and haven't ever had to use the bolts to remove the rotor, but wouldn't hurt to have them in my toolbox. If M8-1.25 bolts are what would fit my brake rotors, I'll get some, replacing the brakes here soon.. let me know..
