    Series 60 engine concerns.

I don't understand why my engine is doing this. Thousands of these engines running daily. I've seen dozens of UOA and they have good viscosity. I don't really want some "special blend" if I can avoid it. Pretty certain that's what their specialty is and it comes at a hefty price.

I think I have before. The issue with his product is availability. I hate having to order and ship and all that. I like oils that are readily available.

It isn't now. It will drop more as the oil ages. And yes, I don't wanna used Lucas, so I can ask HPL, I was also gonna reach out to Lubricant engineers to see what they say.

8200 miles on this oil. I've tried Chevron and Phillips both, short of going with amsoil or Shaffer what other option is there? What's about an additive like Lucas as much as I hate to.

Welp. No feedback, means must be good. Fuel dilution isn't the shear issue

So apparently the issue with Polaris was partially me and their online system malfunctioning at the same time. Finally got the sample sent and a response back.

It's the way you come across. Essentially you tell people their stupid cause they may not understand something or interpret it differently then you. Maybe everyone else don't see it that way cause apparently they see you as a bitog God. But that's how I interpreted you last couple transmissions...

I haven't. I'm reaching out to Polaris again today to see what we need to do. I'm not sure who Detroit uses for a lab, or if they have something of their own.

No one said anything about him not offering solid help. I said I don't appreciate his arrogance in his post, laugh all you want, but an apology won't be coming from this end. Some don't even realize they're being arrogant cause no one ever tells them yet bows to their tone and demeanor. I don't...

Your ignorance in your posts is overwhelming. I debating when I even started this post knowing eventually someone would get ignorant based on the fact they know more then someone else. So ya, ease up bud. Maybe you should read how you come across and rethink your typing before you hit post.

I understand that, it's only been said 15 times in this thread and Incase you haven't read also I've reached out to the other labs about the GC tests and got nothing back. I can only do so much here. So ease up bud.

It is, maybe we're looking at it differently. The UOA is clearly telling me I have a viscosity issue, which is likely caused by something in the engine.

I agree, but the UOA is telling me that something is shearing the oil.

I think Polaris is the lab that I reached out to a while ago. I never heard back. I need to call them again.

I'm not sure if I'll have better results with any of them oils, makes me Leary about switching again.

I switched from Phillips 66 to Chevron. Where else to go? I like to run oils that are readily available on the road.

    Series 60 engine concerns.

I've read all the posts, I can't keep up to be honest. I really just wanna figure out what the issue is. I need to reach back out to the other lab. I sent an inquiry on their website and I see those tests are very expensive also. But I need to figure this out. Sidenote, for an everyday lab...

This is a first I'm hearing of this. What do you have to support that accusation?

Those we're either samples for new engine intervals, or other issues and the last prior to this was a draw from the dipstick tube. I've had a good bit of oil issues with this engine since new. I'm starting to think I need a heavier oil, or an additive. Something needs to stop this shearing.
