How do HPL oils handle fuel dilution issues?

Another thing regarding fuel dilution, is the type of driving you do. Short trips around town in cold weather will obviously require much more frequent OCI's, than long highway trips, that get and keep the oil temperature up to or over 212 F. Which helps evaporate the fuel out of the crankcase.

Induction Soldering Copper Plumbing Joints ?

Does anyone have experience using one of these electric induction "torches" for soldering copper plumbing joints and fittings? The tool is somewhat expensive, but looks to be the ideal solution for soldering copper plumbing fittings in and around attics, wooden studs and drywall. All without...

    The Speed Of Light ??

I'm the same way. The problem is for every question you find a plausible answer to, it brings up another question or questions.

    The Speed Of Light ??

That makes sense. As crazy as it sounds, the Apollo astronauts literally fell to Earth from the Moon...... They were accelerating all the way until they hit the atmosphere at 25,000 MPH. Yet they were weightless all the way until they started to decelerate in the atmosphere.

    The Speed Of Light ??

I have a hard time with the "being accelerated" part, because 180 degrees opposite of me there is some guy sitting in a chair on Christmas Island being "accelerated" in the exact opposite direction..... Yet we're both going nowhere.

    The Speed Of Light ??

If light is made up of photons, and photons have no mass, how can they be effected by gravity? Assuming it is gravity that prevents light from escaping from a black hole 🕳️???

    The Speed Of Light ??

Another hard to grasp subject in all of this are black holes. A "black hole" in black, empty space? How can you have a "hole" inside an empty vacuum in the nothingness empty space? Where do they lead to? What has to happen in order to cause them? If they form from a collapsed star that has...

How do HPL oils handle fuel dilution issues?

I think the best remedy for fuel dilution is more frequent oil changes, with a switch to a higher viscosity oil. Using a top grade oil certainly isn't going to hurt anything. But it won't replace the need for more frequent OCI's

Used motor oil on a tree stump

This is a pretty unique way of stump removal. Especially if you're concerned about using anything that could cause ground contamination. A bit messy perhaps, but it sure beats the hell out of digging. A bit like the old hydraulic mining operations they had back in the 1800's....... "Pale Rider"...

Damaged skid. Why you should change the oil yourself

There are a lot more Toyota's on the road than Volvos. So yeah, I can see where it would be a difficult part to find. Parts that are frequently sold, are produced in greater numbers. Especially simple plastic molded parts for the more popular makes and models. Late model Toyota's are as...

Damaged skid. Why you should change the oil yourself

I'm guessing this is going to be a fairly easy part to obtain. You have to figure that 90+% of the people out there do not change their own oil. And of the many who don't, a large percentage of them go to the "quick lube" joints, because they're fast and cheap. So it stands to reason there are...

Damaged skid. Why you should change the oil yourself

My 2018 Camry has that same access cover. It's very easy to over tighten the screws, and strip them out. NEVER use a power driver to tighten them. Do it by hand using a 10 MM nut driver. And just lightly snug them up. There are only 4 screws. They won't vibrate loose.

Damaged skid. Why you should change the oil yourself

If you are going to go to the "quick lube" places, that is exactly what I would do. They can't wreck what they can't handle. They're hard enough on drain plugs.

    The Speed Of Light ??

What about when they first charge the dead line with power? Say for example, it ran from Chicago to Los Angeles. Would the electrons then travel through the line at close to light speed? Would it then be like an empty pipe, with a time lag as the water first had to fill and pressurize the pipe...

The water pipe is a good analogy.

    The Speed Of Light ??

This is a good example of why this can be so hard to grasp. He explains this very well and understandably... BUT, if freefall is the natural state of things, and the reason I feel weight sitting in my chair, is because I'm being accelerated upward at 9.8 meters per second squared. Why won't I...

    The Speed Of Light ??

Yeah, but here's the problem that most don't want to admit to, for fear of, "sounding dumb". I read them, but I'll be the first to admit that some of this stuff gets real complicated, real fast. And is hard to get through. And it is just plain difficult to absorb, and wrap your head around...

    New Electric Water Heater

You can also use something like this. But I think you're asking for trouble... Especially if you have an older water heater. That thing banging around in there could do more harm than good.

Used motor oil on a tree stump

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Give it the oil treatment. (Nice big deep holes), filled with old oil. Then set that puppy on fire. Some kerosene or gas all over the outside will help get things going. P.S. Use 0W-16. At least it will be good for something. (y)
