Wide open throttle and 60mm piston banging the redline, still below speed limit lol.

New Sierra HD with 6.6 gasser ordered, wondering about cSt

Slow for a car, but in the truck world a Titan punches well above its weight. My heavier 2010 Armada is still consistently hitting 0-60 in sub-to-mid 7 seconds, according to multiple Android speedometer apps I tried.

Another B12 Chemtool Piston Soak Oil burner success with Toyota 2AZ-FE

In ideal world - solvent should fully fill the ring groves. But in real world it often leaks down past some of the heavy carbon and doesn't fully free up a stuck ring. Rotation of the crankshaft is mostly done in case a ring is severely stuck with carbon, and movement should help the solvent...

    BITOG endorsed mobility scooters

These peachy 🍑 163cc of Taiwanese fury safely and efficiently mobilized me from point A to point B, using fraction of fuel that the BMW in background used. And with way more redline fun, while the baby-blue M2 had to crawl and couldn't use any of it's power in traffic... 😎 Vespa who?... Nah...

New Sierra HD with 6.6 gasser ordered, wondering about cSt

Obviously trucks are not for racing, but... I find it VERY entertaining that an ancient 20+ year old Nissan Titan with half the transmission gears and full liter less displacement spanks the GM 6.6. And the Titan ain't no slouch when it comes to towing either.

2015 Kia Optima LX QT/300 Miles Oil Burned Solved/Fixed

That would be an ideal combo. I had success with B12 piston soak on a 2000 Honda CR-V. And recently I had success with VRP 5W-30 fixing the oil consumption on 2008 Scion xB in just two 3k OCIs.

    Engine Oil Help! 2014 BMW x3 xdrive 28i f25 (n20)

^This 100%. But regardless of oil choice - N20 timing chain job is very close on the horizon, given the mileage and life on 0W20 til now. A good Euro shop will do a better and cheaper job than a dealership, (90% of the time.) And then with new updated timing components just stick to LL01 oils as...

I like to fill up cans with water and a drop of red food coloring. Makes for a nice bloody show.

    Lets see the cars!!!!

At my first job ever we had a 3.9L Gold/beige Dakota. It got torture tested daily, for years. Part runs always included a drift session or few... Scrap hauls meant it was overloaded with metal body parts and/or engines... Yet it never missed a beat. Cloth seats were quite comfy too for the...

Considering a 2000 Ford Focus SE wagon as a beater

I'd try $2500. But even at $3200 it's a decent car. Once the tariffs play with new/uses market values - it will be worth $5000. 🙃

    Roasted Chicken and Sausage

"Boneless wings?! You mean adult chicken nuggets???" - that was a phrase that fever solidified my preference for thighs and drumsticks over breast, in any bird. We eat like men.

Age to cut the kids off.

Kudos to you!!! Not every 69 y.o. can say the same. I know plenty who are a decade or two behind you, but are ready to retire, stop learning, and drink beer until death swings by. I guess small clarification is in order on that statement. "By age 25 one has formed as a person". I learn...

Age to cut the kids off.

Looking around I see way too much confirmation to that statement. So call it what you want, but until things change - I call it the truth.

Age to cut the kids off.

My father, and his father, both said the same thing: "You only learn what you learn by age 25. The rest of your life you're living off of it." From my experience seeing others through that lens - that's true. People seem to stop developing past that age, with a few VERY rare exceptions. My dad...
