Is this the 2.0L hybrid? Ford specs 0w-20 synthetic blend for this engine at 20K for the plug ins and 10k for the hybrids. Everything I've seen shows these being really easy on oil. Crazy to me because of the stopping and starting. I have 4k on my new hybrid.

I've been running Valvoline Synpower 5w-30 in mine. Car is fine. Burns a 1/2 to a whole quart every 10,000 miles. If the engine dies I'll update.

So we unknowingly just put 13k on Valvoline syn in our VW 2.5 N/A Jetta wagon. The sump in these are pretty large, but I have no idea how hard on oil these usually are. I did add about 1/2qt at some point to bring the dipstick to full. Anyone have any experience or knowledge on these? Car has 83k.

Went to Advance today to take advantage of the deals they have going on right now. Went in to get the M1AFE, but walked out with the gold bottle Edge...mainly because I've liked the K&N filter that came with the deal. Which would you have grabbed? Application is 2015 Civic Si.

My Toro Super Recycler is a great mower. 5 year warranty from a dealer is actually a warranty too. Never buy power equipment from a big box store.

5 months ago is FAR from outdated! Millions upon millions of cars are serviced at manufacturer recommended intervals with bulk oil and never have a lubrication related issue.

I think if Honda was ever going to help you out of warranty, that went out the window with the last 4 oil changes being done at Jiffy Lube. Not that I think anything went wrong there, but talk about an "out" for Honda?

The 08 has a maintenance minder, why not just follow it? If you are concerned, put whatever syn is on sale packaged with a quality filter when it's time to do a change.
