JWS 3309/T-IV - Total FluidMatic MV?

Also confusingly on the spec sheet of MV it says its performance levels meets 3309/T-IV levels but under the 'Suitable For' doesn't list the aveo Aisin tranny! So not suitable but meets the performance levels. http://www.lubs-products-database.total.com/gallery/ORIGINALS/visuels/22500/22930

JWS 3309/T-IV - Total FluidMatic MV?

Hi guys, Fustrating matter with my Chevy Aveo tranny with the Aisin 4 speed box that requires 3309/T-IV. Can't get Mobil 3309 off the shelf here or any other oils that match T-IV spec. Now I can get hold of Total Fluide G3 from a local supplier. Not familiar with this atf but then looking at...

    Castrol Edge A5 discontinued??

Booked in on Saturday for an oil change with Fuchs 5w30. Meets Jag and Ford specs and cheaper than Castrol. All for 56 pounds! That saves a few pennies and getting cold and wet under the car in winter. Some cashback also! At that price I'll get it done every 6 months!

    Castrol Edge A5 discontinued??

Any sensible replies? Which Castrol would be recommended? Jag did work with Castrol and alway recommended the A5 My V6 has 140,000 miles so I'd like to be using the best possible oil to keep it going well. I use it for many short journeys now.

    Castrol Edge A5 discontinued??

I was informed that the recommended Castrol Edge A5 is now discontinued. I see a couple of places still selling stock. Is it only the 5w30 discontinued or the 0w30 A5 also? What is the replacement now for my Jag S type 3.0l petrol? One Jag garage said they use Shell helix Ultra. Should I...

polishing pad (hexpads) colors - fakes?

Gone the whole hog. Got myself a Rupes Bigfoot 21 mk2. A whole set of pads and compounds. Just experimenting now with different pads/compounds on different cars. Woww all I can say. The bigfoot is awesome. The cheap 8mm polisher had virtually no impact on the scratches compared to the bigfoot...

polishing pad (hexpads) colors - fakes?

Very true. Currently used Meguiars ultimate compaound and ultimate polish with excellent results - very easy and versatile to work with. Also Farecla G3 but this is old school and is harder to work with.

Might go for the dodo juice pads. Black and orange or green. Other option recommended by a friend in the trade are the meguiars microfibre cutting and finishing pads. Bit expensive in the UK.

polishing pad (hexpads) colors - fakes?

Got them off ebay. They are cheap chinese knock offs for sure. My question is about the black pads really. Is this meant to be a soft sponge? The blue one I have is very soft but the black is much harder which has gotten me confused as I thought the blacks were ultra soft for finishing? The...

polishing pad (hexpads) colors - fakes?

Hi guys, Just bought myself a set of cheap hexpads, orange, black and blue. But I'm suspecting they are fakes. The blue is super soft and black is super hard/dense. I understood the black should be super soft for adding waxes and glazes with no cutting characteristics!!
