NAPA Gold 7899 (Chrysler) vs 1372 (Ford)

So it's safe then to use a NAPA 1372 or MC-820s on Mopar?

NAPA Gold 7899 (Chrysler) vs 1372 (Ford)

So according to the following NAPA memo from 2008: NAPA memo NAPA makes separate filters for Chrysler and Ford applications due to the different pitch of the 22mm threads on the Chrysler engines. So why then do other manufacturers specify the same filter for both Chrysler and Ford...

    PU 5w30 2008 Silverado 6.0L L76 9,074 miles on oil

This is the old style Ultra. I bought enough of it (28 jugs) at $6.50/jug (after FRN rebate) to last several years. Current fill is 10w30 Ultra. I'm running the 5w20 in my Challenger. The truck was built with an oil cooler in the radiator. The radiator cracked last winter and I replaced it...

    PU 5w30 2008 Silverado 6.0L L76 9,074 miles on oil

OLM was at 19%. Filter was NAPA Gold 7060. Filter dissection is here. For those unfamiliar with the L76 V8, it is the same 6.0L aluminum block V8 used in the Pontiac G8 GT. Blackstone Comments: Thanks for the notes on the new radiator with an integrated oil cooler. That could be why copper...

What is the typical turnaround for oil analysis?

Lessons learned on how to send it. I'll definitely use a small box next time. I did mark that it was not hazardous. Hopefully I'll get the results eventually. The sample was from a 9,000 mile run in my Silverado.

What is the typical turnaround for oil analysis?

Just wondering. I popped a sample in the mail to Blackstone two weeks ago and haven't heard back yet.

    Napa Gold 7060, 9,100 miles

This NAPA Gold 7060 filter was purchased about 5 years ago from Fleet Filter. Notice it has a white can, thread-end bypass, and nitrile ADBV. It was the last one in my stash. The new one I replaced it with is in a black can with a dome-end bypass and a silicone ADBV. This is from my 2008 Chevy...

If you buy a 5qt jug of PP or P4 at Walmart and take advantage of the Fuel Rewards program offering up to $20 off when you fill your car at Shell, you will end up paying about $6.50/jug after factoring in the savings.

    Napa Gold vs Mopar

The Mopar filters at my Wally World look just like Motocrafts except for the nitrile ADBV. It even has the thread-end bypass.
