    Amsoil PI vs Redline S1

I have used both and so far I still like Redline SI-1 and that is due to seeing it clean out a 900RR, riding lawnmower, and even an Olds. The 5 gas on the Olds was amazing. Even after a fuel injection service the Olds was no cleaner on a 5 gas (was a first for the instructor at least after my...

How to tell if a coolant is low silicate?

Almost all longlife coolants are low/no silicates. While Ford recommends their long life with silicates.

one more time on motorcraft filters

The OEM filters are Grey and made by Champion Labs while the Motorcraft replacement filters are Purolator. The only one that is odd in the Motorcrat line for canister filters is the 2005 for the Zetec 4 Cylinders to help with drainback. More expensive. The 400S and 820S are silicone drainback...

    FORD FOCUS OIL CHANGE TOUGH?

The Motorcraft filter and oil will keep that engine tip top for a long time. FL-910 and 5W-20 Yup filter is up front and vertical and the drain plug is just off the back of the pan. Just getting under the car is the fun part. About 4.7 quarts of oil should see the top mark. 5K is perfect for...

Red Line SI-1 continuous treat = increased wear?

They used to sell SI-2 I think it was which was the non-concentrated every tank use version of the same stuff which carried the BMW lifetime intake cleanliness additive part number. Use the SI-1 using the the marks on the side for the amount of gas added and sleep tight knowing you will have one...

I am smelling coolant but not seeing it or leaking

As far as the leak goes they are known for having the degas bottle leak but not the correct side. Check around the seems of the radiator end tanks for seepage. Might get the odor from this if hot. Check the thermostat area real good too. Originally Posted By: bfax011 Originally Posted By...

Cupping a Baseball Bat seems Pointless

Yes, its effective area may well be shorter, but if you foul off a ball with that VENEER instead of striking out I'll take it. Yes, the sweet spot may move a bit but it is still useful wood out their that can punch a ball through the infield or just foul it off. Either way, I'll take it.
