Change the oil and filter. Put in the correct amount of oil. Check the level after the engine has been off and I'll bet the level on the dipstick is correct. Then check your oil level MUCH more frequently after that.

Personally, I like the Durango better. The ZF 8-speed transmission is state of the art, with incredibly smooth shifts and wide gear spacing from lowest to highest gear.

Try disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes, then reconnect. If the problem does not reoccur, you reset the computer and that may be all it needs.

Don't put other fluids in with oil to recycle - particularly brake fluid. It can contaminate all the other oil in the drum and make it non recyclable.
