    Solid State Hard Drive?

I think Toshiba were the first to use glass platters, about 25 years ago or so I'd say. Customers would ask me to destroy their data, and rather than put them in the degausser I'd smash them on the ground, pick it back up, and rattle the drive in front of them. It was always good for a laugh...

Tom Tom GPS free lifetime map update??

OP was literally told there was an issue where some tom tom owners lost their lifetime update status, and all it takes is a phone call to get it back...then decides it's just not that important. Then why in the world create this thread in the first place?!?!

Turn A/C off first before shutting off engine?

I don't have horrible OCD and my cars have long, full lives. I don't turn squat off when I'm starting or stopping my cars.

    Software updates for Nexus 6

10 years lmao. I don't even want to know what most people's cell phones would look like after 10 years. Apple is the golden standard for phone support and even their life cycle ends at 5 years. 2 years OS support and another year of security updates seems reasonable to me. I'm on a 3 year old...

Finally getting 21st century internet. Have q's

I don't understand the entire concept of replacing a perfectly good router because you can't log into it. There are ways around this. The E2500 is a good piece of equipment despite its age. I own one. It handles my 50MB internet perfectly.

Piston slap on a relatively new engine (10K)

I had a subaru forester that had a piston slap through all 180k miles of its life. (as a side note, teenagers are bad for cars) My corolla has it So does my van My Yaris does not. The 1NZFE doesn't seem to develop it. Obviously i don't feel like it affects longevity.

Valvoline quick lube sucked my oil

The only people excited about getting wheel locks are the ones who haven't had to shatter them off with an air hammer or burn them off. The [censored] things cost me 4 studs, 2 rims and a tow. Never again.
