chris b, i seen syn oil open up leaks on cars/trucks,motorcycles, lawnmowers.i would not put syn oil in your bike until i feel rings have seated.that would be around 6000/8000 miles.then give it try. some use it and no leaks.MANY used it to early and are now using oil as they did not let rings seat.

i would stay with rotella 15-40 oil.syn could loosen up false seals.i would not chance it.

most of the people i talk to are using ROTELLA 15-40 dino OIL in their hondas.i think harleys call for 20-50 w.now most are using synthetic rotella for 14 dollars a gallon 5-40w.i am sticking with ROTELLA FOR 7 DOLLARS GALLON UNTIL MY RINGS ARE SEATED THEN SWITCH TO rotella syn oil. i would say...
