Movies you hate that most like.....

Citizen Kane has always shown up at or near the top of all time best movie lists. For some reason, I never got around to watching it. Finally did, and was completely underwhelmed. I guess the cinematography was groundbreaking for it's day, but watching it in 2021...not at all impressed with the...

Anyone of you selling items on eBay?

True. Bottom line, Ebay doesn't care about the small time seller-at all. You are going to lose on just about any contested sale. That's just the way it is, and if you don't think you can put up with the aggravation of being screwed over by the occasional dishonest buyer, it's best to leave ebay...

Anyone of you selling items on eBay?

I was selling a ton of stuff up until about two years ago. The categories you sell in make a big difference. Clothing has some of the highest return rates, so be aware of that. I did very well with tools-described them with complete honesty and never had a problem. Take lots of good quality...

Small gas gas stations that nobody buys fuel at?

The small independent stations are long gone around my area. The cheapest gas is at the very high volume places. The absolute cheapest is from the regional grocery store chain Woodman's. No one beats their prices and they must be pumping an amazing amount of fuel.

Thickest oil grade you have run in winter, summer?

Straight 40 weight Valvoline "racing" oil in a 1980 Pinto that was burning like crazy. Worked out pretty well until an early cold snap...then not so well.

    Carry gun

I have a Beretta .22 auto like that. Have had it for over 30 years, and it's never been reliable. Would like to get rid of it, but I'd hate to have it wind up with someone who really needed it and have it fail. So it sits at home.

    Carry gun

Kel-Tec P-32. Front right pocket. Super light and very reliable. Used to carry a S&W 642 .38, but it always seemed to be in the way. That one is for home duty now.

Post your latest oil purchase or even filter.

Castrol Magnatec 0w20 and a Motorcraft 910S for a 2006 Ford Focus. The last intelligent magnatronics this engine will see, I'm afraid.

Champ(Champion Labs) filter = made in China?

That's good to know. I've almost done the same when I've ordered from Rock, but was scared off by the super low price, to be honest.

Champ(Champion Labs) filter = made in China?

Really. Last time I looked on Rock, these were some of the cheapest filters they carried. If concerned about quality, why bothering with these regardless of where they're made?

    Who remembers Green GC 0w-30?

German Castrol, AutoRX and people arguing about Amsoil...that's what I remember about this site circa 2005. Only one of those is still a thing.

    Rugged brand?

Their Silver State line looks like it's plenty up to date... https://www.colopetro.com/copy-of-silver-state-synthetics

    Rugged brand?

Just had a look at their web site. Looks to be a legit regional brand.

    Valvoline High Mileage 150k+

Would consider this for my 17 year old 249k Toyota Sienna if I could find it at a competitive price. So far, I've only seen it on Amazon at $26, which is a no go for me.

    Liqui Moly engine oil reliability

My Eastern European gearhead friends think this stuff is the best. Convinced of it. As for myself, I don't doubt it's a quality product, but see no reason to pay a premium price for it over the many other great options out there.

GTX Full Synthetic appears to be replacing GTX Magnatec (per marketing material)

It was starting to get out of hand...there is only so much room on the store shelves and so much room in the customers brain to process it all. I like the way Valvoline has it set up at this time. Consistent logos and color cues, and covers all the bases without a lot of overlap.

Why bother with a synthetic blend ?

Not having any percentage of group III for sure-my understanding is that would qualify as a "blend", even at a very low concentration. What is your definition of a "conventional" oil?
