2013 4.7 RAM.. Best oil to use?

Oil passages are small and get clogged easily. These engines are known to sludge up with long oil change intervals.

2013 4.7 RAM.. Best oil to use?

Hi all. I own a 2013 ram 1500 with the 4.7. I just replaced the engine after extreme neglect killed the past engine at 166K. I have 250mi on the rebuilt 4.7. I want to know what would be good maintenance schedules to follow. I don’t run the recommended 5W-20, i run 5w30 in it. Right now for...

Urgent help needed - Ticking Chrysler 4.7

Oh, it was more than out of spec. Lol. There was so much cylinder damage that it felt like sandpaper and had a ridge to it. Truck doesn’t have a lick of rust. It’s a CA truck. Lol

Urgent help needed - Ticking Chrysler 4.7

After a few months of considering I didn’t do the 6.4. Quotes i got were too outrageous and i could just get some adapter plates and have fun with the 4.7 very long down the line. I got a new rebuilt 4.7L. Took a month to drop it in, now it’s smoother than ever minus an exhaust leak from...

    LM7..Puking metal, but runs great?

I I found out what they were. Lifters are failing, so i was wrong with what i said before. I don’t have the time right now to swap an engine, so im going to replace the lifters and pushrods and maybe get a better cam while im in there. For those wondering, it started to tick. Not loud, but...

    LM7..Puking metal, but runs great?

Goal right now is to change it again at 500 miles and see what happens then with the metal in the oil. Just as bad or worse, she’s getting taken out of service for a bit. How hard is a 6.0 swap? I do not want a 4L80.

    LM7..Puking metal, but runs great?

Hello all. Been having a bit of an issue with my 5.3 in my Tahoe as of late. Picked it up for cheap from someone who didn’t need it. It had 240K, figured if it ran well, mine as well give it a shot. Long story short. Did my first oil change at around 243-244K, after he did one at 241...

    Metal specs in 2GR-FKS ( 2019 - Highlander V6 at 50 000 miles)

That’s just how it usually is. Pentastar fails because the owners a moron and had the last service performed by the dinosaurs usually ends up in 45 cope paragraphs about how they’re the worst company on earth and should’ve been ran out of business 1.2M years ago. Yota 3.4TT fails 3 times in a...

Yeah, I know they weren’t OEM sensors from GM. I will replace with OEM and hopefully it fixes it.

Need help - 01 Tahoe 02 Sensor Woes

Interesting thing that’s happening here. According to torque pro, B1S1 drops to around 0.1V within around a minute. B1S2 is still at 0.3V, B2S1 is stuck at 0.3V, and B2S2 dropped to 0.1V almost immediately. Hmm, wonder if the new 02 sensor i dropped in for B2S2 was bad. And maybe the rest are...

Need help - 01 Tahoe 02 Sensor Woes

I’ve been told I don’t really have to worry about the P0157 and that’s it’s really only there for emissions. So that’ll come last. As for the other test you were talking about, i will do it now.

Need help - 01 Tahoe 02 Sensor Woes

I have both HP Tuners and Torque Pro. Both B1S1 and B2S2 appear at the same voltage. Only issue key on engine off cold is with B2S2. It reads 0 at all times with no changes at all. Cold or hot.

Yeah, I’m considering the new fan clutch. It’s a very old SUV with a lot of miles. That should help out a ton i would think.

Yes unfortunately. When it works, and it worked without setting the P0131 the entire way home, the trans didn’t shift nearly as fast either. Back to its sort of sluggish shifts.
