I have only seen 0w-12 with BMW Specs recommended for BMW cars. But I have never seen any API SP 0w-12 for American or Asian Cars!! Do they have cars for this SAE? Will API start certification for 0w-12 oil despite no engines?

Its not about Japanese or Euro Oils. It just base on formulation. If Idemitsu is having Plant in German will formulate oil with EURO Specs for EURO Market and IF they are blending Oil in JAPAN will be as per ILSAC specs. So many brands which are multinations have different formulations for...

GM follows API when it comes to basis, they will never allow any formulation which are not API approved. In above Oil company is following API but they dont have API donut as many German brands dont want to put API donut on their JUGs. see Post 11 for API licenses through QR code... many brands...

It must be OLD JUG cause their JUG is having DEXOS GEN3 as I am currently using for my customers in state. I have my own repair shop..

Its not mandatory to have API donuts on Jug. You need to have API license and that is what provided by the company on back QR code in Post 11. I have seen many German Oils not having API donuts because its not looking good with the design of their logo but they have API license.
