    Post your latest oil change

Can't remember what style of gasket it was unfortunately, but not a double gasket situation. I would say wrong seal or a Friday-afternoon seal.

How to sell my car these days?

Selling on FB Marketplace is a PITA these days, most buyers in my experience on there are flippers wanting something for nothing. I think you'd be better off selling on a website, whatever the USA equivalent of Australia's Carsales is. I sold my '13 Commodore wagon for the asking price in two...

What is the most you have spent on repairs, relative to the value of the car?

$7k over 300k miles (or even km) is amazing

What is the most you have spent on repairs, relative to the value of the car?

Unfortunately not, only 7 years/unlimited in Australia.. or maybe even 5 years back then. We don't have smog laws in Australia, and in my state cars don't require inspections unless changing owners or re-registering after an extended lapse.

What is the most you have spent on repairs, relative to the value of the car?

Seems I have struck some kind of nerve with you, so let me clarify by saying I dont have an issue with the mechanic or the wreckers making their coin. The labour rate was actually fairly reasonable. Market and scarcity dictates value of used (and new to a degree I guess) parts. It does not...

What is the most you have spent on repairs, relative to the value of the car?

Hi, and happy new year all.. I was just ordering filters and oil, for my D-Max and wife's i30, and reflected on how much money I had spent on maintenance and repairs in the last year. Back in May, we shelled out an exorbitant amount for both of the cats and O² sensors in my wife's 2016 Hyundai...

    Toyota AUS style

And they cost a absolute bomb here (in Australia) for what is effectively a bare bones 4WD ute/wagon. Upwards of $110,000 AUD ($73K USD) for the last of the 4.5L diesel V8 models (discontinued last year), or approx $90,000 AUD ($60k USD) for the 4 cylinder 2.8TD that replaces it. The interior...

    acquisition: 2014 Isuzu D-Max

Thanks! Its a good size for most purposes, I find.. plus most carparks in Australia struggle to fit anything with a larger footprint.

    acquisition: 2014 Isuzu D-Max

Not this shape. The one following it (2021-on) shares its design with the BT-50. This one shares its chassis with the 2014-2021 Holden/Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon (though not the engine)

    acquisition: 2014 Isuzu D-Max

Evening all, I recently purchased a 2014 Isuzu D-Max 2WD Hi-rider dual cab, which was a fleet vehicle of one of my former employers, through my friend and service manager ex-colleague. Serendipitously, I was borrowing it to get around while my wife was using my car (while her i30 was being...
