My Tacoma has 37,000 miles on and I decided to do a drain and fill last month and follow up with a second drain and fill this week, which I did today. Wanted to stick with OEM until the 60k drive train warranty runs it course. I've researched the cheaper alternatives and will jump on that ship...

Placed an order for Toyota ATF WS from Amazon. Instead of getting a 'your order has shipped' email, I received an email cancelling my order due to lack of availability. Ordered the quarts just in case things went wonky. Placed an order with Walmart and will receive it tomorrow. So it goes.

Looks pretty darn good! I have an analysis posted of my 2023 Tacoma SR5 with the same engine running Mobil 1 Truck and SUV 0w20 at about the same mileage. Close comparison except they tagged 3.7 fuel dilution on mine. I'm guessing it's due to more short tripping than your engine experiences.

I agree with the OP 100%. The oil I chose to replace my Toyota Genuine Motor Oil 0w20 was Mobil 1 Truck and SUV 0w20 in my '23 Tacoma and the engine was noticeably louder. True Story. Maybe it missed the moly.

Thanks for the input fellows. I ran across this oil variety when looking to replace the Toyota fill after the initial free dealership OCIs. I grabbed a jug of this when a $15 gift card was offered. I wasn't familiar with it, so it led me BITOG for opinions. Didn't find a ton of those here but...

My Tacoma makes a daily 20 mile 65mph hilly round trip to town to run various stop and go errands. Some times twice a day if grandkids have athletic games. Took it on a couple of highway trips 1400 and 600 miles. Wasn't sure the proper way to post the analysis, but here it is.

Yes yes. I just filled my 2023 Tacoma with the 75-85. Time to Roll On!

As the owner of a Tacoma and the wife's Camry, I've learned more than a bit from him about maintaining the vehicles. He's pretty honest about what he knows and doesn't know.

If I want to stick with 0w16 then this would be an excellent choice...correct. The only Mobil 1 0w16 available is the AFE and I haven't seen much love for that mixture.

Why not?

Anyone have an idea when Valvoline Restore and Protect will be available for purchase in 0w16.
