Bit of a re-introduction and some basic questions. 2006 Subaru Legacy GT.

If you want a longer filter, there's the 57055XP. For the oil, Mobil 1 0w40 is a good choice and very popular :) But since it's an EJ Subaru, the important question is, how are the head gaskets? :sneaky:

Some Anchor motor mounts might actually be good: Part #9023

I received the Anchor mounts, and both of them look like the pics from the OP. They say Subaru on them on one side, and the Subaru part number on the other side

Why Are Thermoplastic CV Boots So Hard To Find?

Most OE boots are NOT neoprene, but rather thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) Some newer cars have neoprene inner boots, but the outer boots are still TPE.

Some Anchor motor mounts might actually be good: Part #9023

If you had a Z28, you should've used Borla :D Or at least Walker's own Dynomax, which is mandrel bent. But for stock replacement, the best I've seen is Norhteastern exhaust. While they're not mandrel bent, they are stainless steel, so they last longer :) The only other cheap mandrel bent...

Why Are Thermoplastic CV Boots So Hard To Find?

The patent expired years ago, so that's not the reason.

Some Anchor motor mounts might actually be good: Part #9023

This part number is made in Thailand and actually says Subaru on it! On the other side, it says the actual Subaru part number  Anchor 9023 fits Subarus of the late 90s and early 00s, including the first-gen Forester Pics from Rock Auto/Anchor

What Does Honda VCM Engagement and Running "Feel Like"?

    More Junk Parts. Very Frustrating.

CTR is a good brand. They are Korean. Although Rock Auto doesn't carry CTR, Partsgeek has them at a fair price :)

2004 Nissan Sentra - Ball Joints and Tie Rod Ends

I don't think the ribs are really necessary. Sankei 555 makes good stuff :) If you really want the ribs but don't want to pay a lot, you can get 10 of those cheap CQ Famous Brand ball joints for the price of one Sankei

2004 Nissan Sentra - Ball Joints and Tie Rod Ends

Napa has the Sankei ball joints for $44 each. If you have AAA, you get 10% off, so it would be under $40 each, or $80 for the pair, and Napa has free shipping over $49. That's not much more than Partsgeek charges once shipping is factored in :) The Famous Brand is whatever AAP reboxed under the...

Transmission Service 2004 Nissan Sentra - Pull Pan?

Nissan is smart enough to include a drain plug for the transmission, so you don't have to drop the pan :) Do the job cold, like first thing in the morning, then when you drain it, measure how much came out, and refill with the same amount. It's not worth dropping the pan, and the filter is...

Does Peak OET Asian Red have 2EHA now?

They banned it less than 2 years ago Yeah, but it's $35/gallon :sneaky: Zerex Asian Red concentrate is $20

    Wagner rotors

I'm not not impressed with Wagner's rotors and drums anymore, especially after they stopped coating the inside of their drums and possibly did the same for their rotors :cautious: I can vouch for Powerstop coated rotors. They are awesome. Powerstop rotors and Akebono pads are a good combo :)...

2002 Subaru Forester S with 4eat transmission - Help, Urgent. I think I screwed up

I don't notice any lag or shifting problems with Maxlife, though sometimes it bangs going into or out of P, but that's probably a bad transmission mount. I have a new OE mount waiting to go in.

    Coolant funnel

The Lisle coolant is awesome! It pays for itself the first time you use it :)
