    Triumph Van

Agree...and worker sabotage, favoring of certain brands within the conglomerate, etc. Figured ideology and (internal & national) politics covered it ;) There is a very good book, forget the name right now. Was the MGF a "very good" car though? Been in a few, mostly early ones, almost...

    Triumph Van

Good description of the evolution of British Leyland. That long, twisted story is a great read with its mix of business, politics and ideologies....with the expected results.

How to Change a Panamera Air Filter

Bit larger then a CAI, plus the plenum. I would guess that having to maintain an open area beneath the hood at the front was a factor.

How to Change a Panamera Air Filter

Devil's advocate, but where else would you place it? Between styling, low hoodline, all the 'stuff' around a current engine, the pedestrian safety hood crush space requirements, size of the air filter for that engine, there are not many options.

    Ferrari Purosangue

Call me a heretic for thinking anything but superlatives about the Daytona....but I prefer the looks of the short-lived derivative:

Flotsam or Jetsam? Well, We Did Catch Something.....

Not a traditional one, the props have a hub "Damper" that I believe will shear with enough force. These are 350HP so may be beyond a traditional shear pin.

Flotsam or Jetsam? Well, We Did Catch Something.....

Cruising at about 25 kph between Cuttyhunk and Westport, MA and THUD, the starboard engine shuts down, the boat yaws and then port one throttled to idle. We stopped, tried restarting the engine, which it did, then decided to shut it off and raise it. Found this ball of illegal, assuming it was...

    Mid-life crisis car plan

S2000 I'd reconsider Porsche and look at a Cayman or Boxster S. The stigma isn't that bad.... :ROFLMAO:

Any logic to changing the oil before storage?

I'd rather have fresh oil w/ minimal contaminants for extended storage.

Oil for Tohatsu 20 HP outboard

New engine? I would run a few hours or a season on semi then switch to full.

(Another) New Car Introduction - 2026 Golf R

Nice, enjoy! My Wife has an older one with the manual. Just a fun, fun car; fast, nimble, some of the best feeling brakes I've experienced, and it sounds great.....synthetic sounds, but still enjoyable.

People who trade in vehicles after 0-2 years for silly reasons. Are people really this bad with finances?

Sense, in this case, is relative and as long as the purchaser is acting responsibly (i.e. not living beyond their means), then why isn't this scenario sensible?

This.... We have a good friend who is leadership with a dealership group. All of my Range Rovers save for one and my GL450 were bought at 1-2 yrs. 'Bout every 4 years I'd ask to find me something nice, and give him something back w/ under 70-80k or so. Worked out well for us.
