Since everybody seems to be focused on the ///s, here's a thought to throw you off. I clean my Glock with dish soap and water. Then just a very little Remington Gun Oil on a couple of spots. Been doing it for 30 years.

Your Dad reminds me of mine, except yours packed a lot more fun gear for the trip. All we ever took camping was whatever he could fit in the trunk of his 1969 Cutlass Supreme, and the gear squeezed into the back seat between my sister and me.
That's my take as well. I typically keep my cars a long time after they're paid for. If I could get a very low rate on a 84 month loan I'd at least consider it. Problem is the rates get worse as the loan length increases.
We don't need a permit anymore in AL, but I still get mine because of travel to TN and GA, due to their CCW reciprocity with AL. If I carried in either state without a permit and got snagged, I might not be able to post here for a while.
I fixed this code on an old 1997 Ford Expedition 4.6L by removing and cleaning the intake elbow right behind the throttle body. It was completely caked in black goo that I removed with hand files and sheer will. Not sure if such a thing is possible on this engine.
