235-45-17 is the true +0 (25.3) but not approved for a 7" rim (17x7 on the Matrix). It will "fit" but I'm not interested. 245 spec's a 7.5 at the low end so no go there either.

At 8250, you hit the limiter. I will hit it occasionally but not often at all. "Lift" kicks in at 6,000 which I will hit getting on the interstate at times. Sucks too much of the premium fuel required though to do it too often.

Read the book! It's not 100% to the series. Some characters are in the book and not in the series and vice versa.

Iams. It is the only one available at Walmart which does not contain Red dye #40. My Golden mix is allergic to that ingredient.
