    Engine cutaway art

Anyone got a good place for this stuff? I’d like to find frame able or pre-framed prints of GM diesel engines, especially the latest duramax. My google fu isn’t turning up much.

    OEM scanner for duramax l5p

Looks like there’s a subscription? Bummer but I guess I won’t have a choice when warranty is up. Been out of the game a LONG time, I was used to buying memory cards.

    OEM scanner for duramax l5p

Hey guys, just what the title says. I’ve had Ford OEM tools but I just bought a 2017 duramax. What is the correct tool the dealer uses for glow plug programming, etc.? I’m not in a hurry, this is the first GM I’ve owned since ‘93, lots of warranty coverage left. The tool dealers I’ve checked are...

Well if you want to replicate a modern diesel, you'll have to solder in a check engine light that never shuts off. Originally Posted by Miller88 I believe that's nitro fuel right? Like the RC Cars use. It's neat - like a little mini diesel.

If I did this right the pic should be attached. How cool is a glow engine with electric start, alternator, and water cooling?

    Catastrophic ecodiesel failure

I used to have a 5.9. The filter isn't even remotely similar. It's not pleated, looks like a smooth cellulose, no idea on manufacturer. I can take a pic if you want. Stanadyne in the summer, antigel in the winter. Fuel here can be between 5 and 20 percent bio. We got down to -22 for a few days this winter. Originally Posted by wwillson turbodieselfreak, Did you run any additives in your fuel?

You're absolutely correct. I meant this post as more of a heads up to fellow owners, not a complaint. Originally Posted by Astro14 I think you're lucky. The dealer is warranting this whole mess. The engine itself is still OK, this is just the injection system. Could've been a lot worse...

    Catastrophic ecodiesel failure

The part number hasn't changed to my knowledge. I was just surprised because I had read so many horror stories of FCA finding any reason to deny a warranty claim. And it's not just them, all the big 3 use the cp4 pump and look for an out.☹ï¸
