    M1 EP

I use Mobil 1 EP + Fram Ultra on our family vehicles with varying mileage. OCI is 1 year or 10k miles, whichever comes first. Walmart + M1 rebate = sweet deal -ttvr4

Anyone NOT have a problem with Jiffy Lube type places?

I drive a company vehicle which requires me to take it in to Jiffy Lube every 5,000 miles. I don't like other people working on my vehicles but I don't have a choice in this case. Every time I take the vehicle into Jiffy Lube I watch them like a hawk. Unfortunately, I am unable to see what goes...

2AZ-FE. Does viscosity matter for oil consumption?

I used Mobil 1 EP 5w-30 on our 2007 Toyota Camry with the 2AZ-FE and it burned about a quart every 4,000 miles. The car has 140k miles. I read some good things on BITOG about switching to a HM oil so I recently changed the oil to Mobil 1 5W-30 HM. So far, its burned half a quart with 5,000 miles...

    High Mileage Mazda 5-speed auto

I run Amsoil Signature Series ATF in my 2007 Mazda 6 2.3L 5 speed. I change the ATF every 30k miles. Any synthetic ATF will work just fine for your 2009 Mazda 6. I would recommend doing 2 or 3 drain and fills to make sure you get all the old fluid out (drain, fill, drive a few hundred miles...

High mileage Mazda 2.5 4 cyl

I have a 2007 Mazda 6 2.3L. It has 140k on the clock and I've been running Mobil 1 5W-30 EP for the last 60k miles. Before that, I was putting in PU and PP 5W-30. I change the oil once a year or every 10k miles, which ever comes first. The car doesn't burn any oil and I never changed the PCV...

Amsoil Signature Series worth the money?

I use Amsoil ATF on all of our vehicles (CRV, Camry and Mazda 6). I drain the ATF every 60k miles. Don't waste your money on Amsoil ATF if you are planning to drain the ATF every 30k miles. -ttvr4

    Mazda6 burning through 5w20

I have a 2007 Mazda 6 2.3L with 145k miles. I've been running Mobil 1 5w-30 since new and it doesn't burn a single drop of oil. I've never changed the PCV valve on the car either. OCI on this car is every 80k miles or once a year (which ever comes first). The PCV valve on this engine is located...

    CVT Discussion

The company I work for deploy Nissan vehicles as part of the fleet program. We get a new Nissan vehicle every 60k miles. I am currently driving a 2015 Nissan Altima 2.5L with JATCO CVT with 53k on the odometer. No issues so far. The car averages 35 MPG mixed driving. Prior to the 2015 Altima, I...

Fellow 2AZ-FE toyota owners: what oil are you usin

I have a 2006 Camry LE with 140K. I've been running Mobil 1 5W-30 with WIX oil filter for 80k miles. The car is burning 1 quart every 2,500 miles. I recently stocked up on Mobil 1 5W-30 HM. I am hoping the HM oil will ease the oil burn. Anyone running Mobil 1 HM on 2AZ-FE engines? -ttvr4

He's Dead Jim! Engine Warranty Denied! Help!

OP, you really should consult a lawyer. You shouldn't be paying a dime for repair because you are still under manufactures warranty. If MB can prove WIX is at fault, WIX should cover the cost of engine replacement. The link below is who my friend hired for his Subaru lemon. The law firm provids...

He's Dead Jim! Engine Warranty Denied! Help!

Time to lawyer up. I have a friend who recently returned his WRX back to Subaru under the lemon law (not that your Sprinter is lemon, but it might be). He retained a consumer lawyer specializing in lemon laws. Subaru ended up settling and cutting him a check to buy back his Subaru (pro rating...

anydifference between mazda atf-fz and dexron 6?

Use Mazda OEM ATF-FZ, get it at the dealer. I did a drain and fill on our CX5 a year ago. OEM fluid is not cheap. The only other alternative is Ravenol ATF-FZ but I never tried it. -ttvr4
