So, I would first pick a good oil that is reputable (Mobil, Castrol, Pennzoil) in an xW40, do a run, do a used oil analysis, and see what it looks like. Actually the G & Z shared the same engine and some suspension components. They went separate ways with the engine when the 350Z got the HR engine. The highest a G35 got was the DE rev up. The G37 got the HR. But almost all hard parts are interchangeable between the Z/G.

If I remember correctly, some of the Altima’s came with the same VQ35DE that was in my G35. Is yours the V6 or the I4? And they do look very similar.
