WHEN YOU DO AN OIL CHANGE, PULL THE PVC AND SOAK IT IN SOME SOLVENT OR CLEANER TO CLEAN IT, TILL YOU HEAR IT RATINGLY AROUND IN THE PVC AGIN, THEN SPRAY IT OUT WITH SOME CLEANER, LET IT DRY , SHAKE IT AGIN TO HEAR IT RATTLE THEN REINSTALL IT. AND YOU'LL BE FINE....

10,700 miles on a Wix cartridge filter

Edmond, You are right that amsoil does not have the exact filter replacement. However, if you were to use their BMK-13 By-pass oil filter mount kit you could go with larger by-pass filter and regular(EAO)filter. This if space permits would give more oil volume plus longer OCI and better...

If BITOG were a lubircant company...

It would be like a Wal-Mart super lube store but on a grand scale with some of everything in it so we customers could get just what we wanted to buy or could afford etc..

10,700 miles on a Wix cartridge filter

Edmond, Why don't you use a good Amsoil filter on it and then you won't have to sweat the last few thousand miles or the remote bypass filter assy. on it. This would be better yet.

    Which Fully Synthetic?

AVAXIS, I would go w/AMSOIL ASL OIL and their oil & air filters. The other thing, get their preferred customer status and it drops the overall cost plus it is delivered to your door. I am not a dealer, but have used their products on/off for the last 15-20 years and I really like their...

Way to say it Pablo!!! Underbody flush

Just being a W.A.. You would have plenty more problems after letting it sit in 3 feet of water for a couple of days. The only way I know is to do a Z-BART treatment when it is brand new, this coats most everything and somethings you don't want coated. It works good for A FEW years, but least...

    New Synthetic Oil

I'd shift to Amsoil ASL 5W-30 synthetic Oil & their filter also. Then after 2000-3000 miles, change the oil filter agin and add a quart or what ever it takes to bring bac to the full mark.

    k and n

I think the K&N oil soaked filters are crap. I bought 1 for my 98 Ford CV and had to cut the side rubber down to make it fit and it was messy. Plus, after about 5k miles, I had to remove the MAF (mass airflow sensor)and oily crap of it with electronics spray cleaner. It caused the CV to ran like...

    Ethanol Gas

10% ethanol gasoline in not bad for vehicles, it is the octane rating of the fuel that is not good for some vehicles. At most fuel stations, there are usally 2-3 grades of fuel. People, with the higher prices of fuel, they tend to put the lowest price fuel into their tanks, and this is usally...
