What group is this oil? How well is it liked? I thought of changing over from PP and extend drain intervals to 10k.

Penzoil Platinum or Mobile 1 5-30 at 8k Mile intervals. Good place to start.

In Nashville were Nissan's headquatered they have several million mile sentras in the show room. Don't know the oil type used.

Have you guys seen the mobil 1 taxi test video? It cracks me up. They pull the mobil 1 motor apart at 16000 miles (or something like that) OCI and it is clean and shiny. Then they pull the dino motor apart all sludged up and nasty. Notice down at the bottom they changed the dino oil at 18000...

I just bought my second Nissan Versa and the manual says use 5-30. It says that using different oil weight than that could damage my motor. I was looking at 5-20 or 0-30 for mabey economy but I don't want to damage my motor. Those with opinions please provide one. thanks

I never read about QS. I see they have the cheapest synthetic at wallymart in Q Horsepower at 18 bucks but I'm reluctant to try it. Curious as well.

Just went to advanced last night and bought two of their specials. 5 qts of castrol syntec and pure one filter for 24.99 Anyone use or have uoa's on syntec. Any good?

I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on the subject. My question is why do cars and trucks tend to use more synthetic oil between changes?

Looking to change the OCI according to warranty till 36000 miles. It is 3750 (I'll go 4000). I'll probably go about 7500 on synthetic.
