I ran Quaker State Full Synthetic 5w30 in my 2014 Caprice with the GM 3.6L LFX. It never consumed any oil, never had any startup chain rattle, or other odd noises. Very solid oil that is on the thicker end of a 5W30. Very underrated oil IMO.

Just got back from Walmart and the shelf was full of Valvoline Restore and Protect. Mobil 1 also had a near full shelf of their various oils. The oil filter section was a different story... Maybe less than half full.

Indeed! Many G8 owners will have the AFM delete done since the cylinder shutoff system is known to fail and can cause all sorts of issues. I had all the work done on it last year and it definitely made the car a lot faster.

I generally prefer to go to the Walmart's in the smaller cities/towns. Their shelves are always full and not picked over. The two larger Walmart's near me sometimes dont have the oil that I've been looking for.

Do any other stations other than Costco or BP have the new Top Tier Plus stickers on their pumps? The QT I went to a few weeks ago still had the regular Top Tier sticker on their pumps.
