    ATF in Ford MANUAL transmission???

MTF doesn't mention Mercon compatibility, and ART specifically says do not use in transmissions requiring Mercon. MTF http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/mtf.aspx ART http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/art.aspx

    ATF in Ford MANUAL transmission???

Yes, but my question is WHY does Ford say use ATF and can I use a thin gear oil like Redline 70w80 instead? I suppose I could use AMSOIL ATD Torque-Drive fluid.

    ATF in Ford MANUAL transmission???

2002 Ford F-150 5 speed manual transmission. Anybody know why Ford says to use ATF in their manual transmissions? Seems like ATF would be too thin for the job. What about using a thin gear oil instead, like Redline MTL 70w-80?

5w20 oil for modern V6 with solid valve train??

Amsoil IS a name brand. It's the FIRST full synthetic auto oil in existence, been around since 1972. THREE YEARS before Mobil 1 came along. If you really want us to suggest what oil is "best" for your application, don't be so closed minded on the oil choices out there.

Honda Odometer Class Action--nobody talking about

Average person drives 15k miles per year. 4% = 600 miles. Over 5 years you've actually driven 75,000 miles but the odo says 78,000. 4% will add up eventually, but probably not enough to really "cheat" you out of your warranty. BTW - Volkswagens are notorious for speedo's showing faster than...

    Jiffy Lube Refuses

My local independent ASE technician has no problem allowing me to bring in my own oil and filter and changing it for me. $15 for labor and disposal of the old oil and filter.

NEW AMSOIL 5W-40 DIESEL OIL (DEO)

Do you have a Sam's Club or Costco membership? Gotta buy a membership to save in their stores. In the end, you usually come out ahead. $20 per year for PC, $30 per year for dealer. Most people will save more than $20 or $30 on their oil purchases in a year because they are saving an average of...

    November 1st AMSOIL price increase.

Amsoil retail prices are definitely high compared to other synthetics out there. It's hard to compete with Mobil 1 and Wal-Mart. Best way to save some $$$ on Amsoil products is to become a Preferred Customer or Dealer. That way you can get Amsoil products at wholesale prices. ( And being an...

    Amsoil 75w-110 -- 2002 Ford F-150

    Here are the specs for both fluids, 75w-110 and 75w-140. I honestly don't know what they mean, that's why I'm here to learn. Kinematic Viscosity @ 100°C, cSt -- 20.4 / 25.7 Kinematic Viscosity @ 40°C, cst -- 143.7 / 185.6 Viscosity Index -- 164 / 173 Brookfield Viscosity @-40°C, cP --...
